Good old style shoot 'em thriller
A fairly plain and simple action thriller, with over the top characters. Almost like a comic book adaption with a retro twist. A man on the run gets arrested hoping that will keep him safe. The hitmen on his tail have other ideas.
It's a little slow to getting going but it's not long before the chaos ensues and the bullets flying everywhere. Funny in places and Alexis Louder was impressive in her role. One to switch the brain off to and just enjoy the show.

Watched yesterday probably the first time I've seen at the cinema that was meant Netflix but for one week only its Been at cinemas cross the country anyway the film going into the sequel could top the orignal knives out yes it does from the many red herrings thruout the film to Daniel Craig's dodgy accent as beniot blanc the only returning cast member from the first movie. There's a twist in the middle of the movie that I didn't see coming which I won't give away and a surprise cameo which I wasn't expecting either overall good movie

A typically odd film from M. Night Shyamalan. A group of people on Holiday end up at a Beach. It soon becomes apparent they are ageing rapidly, roughly a year per 30 minutes. Can they escape or stop this phenomenon from happening?
There are some interesting ideas that crop up as a result of the situation they find themselves in. Overall though it's a pretty basic storyline and run of events without a huge twist at the end as is with his other films. OK for a watch but not something I'd watch again.

Fight Club (1999)
Fight Club (1999)
1999 | Thriller
The first rule of Fight Club is ...
... you didn't talk about Fight Club.

That's virtually all my beforehand knowledge of this movie, which it's only taken me (roughly) 25 years to get around to watching.

And I wish I hadn't bothered: that's slightly over 2 hours of my life (that felt like 25+ years) that I'll never get back again ...

Bleak, depressing, and with an incredibly obvious 'twist' telegraphed virtually from the get-go, I found little to recommend in this, and even less to enjoy.

One to avoid.
(And at least I can now say I've seen it ...)

This book was incredible
Tristana and Peter live as roommates in a boarding house in Virginia. When they first meet, there is an instant connection between the two. Tristana, though, is too involved in her work and Peter is still working out issues of his own after the death of his brother.

Seraphina is a club girl who likes going out and finding the bad boys. Men that are willing to cheat to have a piece of her. Nathan stand on the sideline and watches her, trying to figure out why she is doing this to herself. But he is always there to step in in case there is a problem.

Will these couples ever get their lives together in order to be much happier as partners instead of singles? Will Tristana be able to break out of her shell around Peter? Will Nathan ever reveal himself to Seraphina and tell her his true feelings?

Thank you to Kat Alexander for the opportunity to read and review this book. She is now on my list of authors whose books I'm going to get without reading the description.

I was hooked on this story from the start. The characters are intriguing and I could totally identify with Seraphina. I was very anxious to find out what was going to happen with these characters. Then about half way through the book BOOM!!! The atomic bomb was dropped on the whole story. Usually when reading book, you know a twist is going to come or you can guess what is going to happen next. I didn't see this coming at all!! From that point on, nothing in life mattered except finding out what was going to happen next.

I can't say much more without giving away spoilers, but if you like a romantic novel with a huge twist, pick up this book today.

So Many Plot Twists!
THE PLOT TWISTS IN THIS BOOK GAVE ME WHIPLASH!

My poor, poor heart has been put through the ringer with this book! I was apprehensive about this book, I had heard mixed reviews and it honestly took me a while to get into it but I am so glad I stuck with it because it got so much better! There was one plot twist that took me by surprise and then there was another one! AND THEN THERE WAS A THIRD PLOT TWIST AS WELL! It also ended on a cliffhanger because, of course it did!

Fans of The Hunger Games will definitely enjoy this! It is similar, but I found that there were enough differences that it didn't feel like an exact copy.

I will say that you should be prepared to find it a bit slow at times, but honestly the second half of this book is so action packed and fast paced it makes it so worth it!

I need to read the sequel immediately! I hope it's just as good!

As an added bonus, the physical hardcover is beautiful, the end papers are pretty and the dust jacket is shimmery! Plus in all the editions there is a map which I always like in books!

Paige Turner works at a bookshop in her hometown alongside going to school, but then she gets the news that it’s closing down. When she finds this out, she decides she has to do something to save it.

I read this one within a couple of days. It’s a nice quick read to take on holiday, and is a good laugh. Although I did cringe slightly at the protagonist’s name, it was a good book overall with a decent plot.

It was very typically YA, so if you’re a massive YA fan you’ll love it. I like YA, but not cheesy YA romance, which I feel that this book verged on a little too much for my liking. It was a bit too lighthearted.

There’s also a plot twist further on to do with the boy Paige has a crush on which felt all a bit forced and a bit like it was just desperately grabbing for any plot possible. I’m not sure that the twist was the right thing to put in and I feel like it let down the novel a lot.

I’m not sure I’d read this again, but like I said, if you love cheesy YA, you will definitely love this. And it’s a really good lighthearted read to quickly read in an afternoon.
