So definitely wasn't my favourite in the Trilogy but who doesn't love a happy ending??? I seriously love Noah and it was amazing to see James get the life he deserves. I loved the twist at the end when I really thought he had gone with Zach to the hospital and he had killed Kierra and I was really suprised when it twisted and he was a horror writer, which yes, I would read those if they were real! I loved the links to the social media parts, very believable and as much of an asshole as he is, Dr Harper really did help people, especially Shaun. Great ending, sad to see it over...

Apologies for the influx in reviews but I'm bored and thinking.
Overall I like this series I love it in fact and couldn't put the first few books down.
But Evelyn oh, Evelyn (Sorry for possible misspellings)
The book prior to this she was cold, hard and I suppose she had reason to be.

It was still enjoyable.
This book was even more so at first.
But the twist near the end really tore me from this beautifully constructed, utterly engaging world.
I think I prefer America's journey to hers but I still recommend the series

A Walk Within The Shadows
A Walk Among the Tombstones- is a really good movie. The drama, the thrills, the suspense, the action, and the twist.
The plot: Matt Scudder (Liam Neeson), formerly part of the NYPD, now works as an unlicensed private detective. His latest client is a drug trafficker (Dan Stevens) whose wife was kidnapped and brutally murdered, and as Scudder delves deeper, he finds that the crime's sequence is the modus operandi of the perpetrators. Before they can strike again and destroy other lives, Scudder races through the back streets of New York to catch the killers, blurring the lines between lawful and criminal as he goes.
Highly recordmend.

Had potential
This started off OK, a sort of Slasher film with a twist with the killer forcing victims to choose who to kill or be attacked. With a detective element to it as well. Katheryn Winnick of Vikings stars as a journalism student tracking the killer along with her dad as the local sheriff in a small town.
Just a shame it didn't reach its potential, not a particularly scary film. Seems to be stuck between genres without choosing which direction to go in. The second half of the film unravels without much drama to a rather tame ending. OK if you want a short film to pass the time.

One could view this as one of the best Goth romance movies. On a small island, a young winery guide, Moll, meets and falls for the dangerous stranger who may or may not be murdering young women on the island. It is a sexual awakening for the outsider. Moll unearths untold power and strength. Recently, I have been watching a lot of Jessie Buckley performances. I have noticed that she has a huge tic where when she speaks she upturns the right side of her lips. It is far noticeable when she plays American, like in "Fargo" and "I'm Thinking of Ending Things." But she also uses it here to twist herself as she spirals toward an inevitable clash.

Keeps Getting Better
Although I'm not the biggest fan of The Govenor even as a villian, I have a certain appreciation for his skill at lying and manipulation. In this season we find our favorite characters confronted with a whole new set of problems, trying to establish a steady homestead and learning how to live alongside neighbors. Much to say everything goes sideways and then some as war breaks out, not between the living and the dead, but between two struggling parties of survivors. This is a wonderful new twist to an already amazing, established show. My second time watching and I'm still in love with it!

Peter G. (247 KP) rated Layer Cake (2004) in Movies

What will be looked at as a poor mans Lock Stock on the surface turns out to be a great twist and turn gangster movie that does have similarities in its direction and style which is always a good thing.
The brit gangster movie has had a bit of a resurgence thanks to Guy Ritchie and Matthew Vaughan and this one stands out in what became a crowded field.
The level of violence is quite high and the list of well known actors is long in this multi layered story and what makes this one stand is the amazing performances especially from Craig and Meaney, however all involved were very good and includes an early look at Tom Hardy.
