Other than it stars Nicolas Cage (who doens't go as overboard in this as he normally does), Jessica Biel and Julianne Moore, and is based on a short story by prolific sci-fi author Philip K Dick (who wrote works that become the basis for both Total Recall (based on "We Can Remember it for You Wholesale") and Blade Runner (based on "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep"), to namedrop but two), with Nic as a Las Vegas magician who can see no further than 2 minutes into his own future.
Except where it concerns Jessica Biel's character (who he has not yet met as the film begins).
Decent enough premise, then, with some decent enough action scenes - even if they won't blow you away - and a decent enough twist ending (even if I want to know what happens Next).
In fact, maybe that single word sums it up: Decent.
Not spectacular.

The narrative was not as strong as I hoped it will be. I enjoyed the story and the interactions between the characters, but I was missing the suspense and the moments when I am left with my mouth open due to a surprising and mind-blowing twist. (That did happen in the past

This film was trying to emulate other classic cat and mouse thrillers like Seven and in parts did give it a go but ultimately failed to do so.The twist they go for when it comes to revealing the killer was ok but if you follow the story carefully you may work it out before then.
Cavill and Kingsley played their parts well and there are 1 or 2 good action sequences.A good little movie that is worth a watch if your looking for a good thriller.

When I saw this book in my local supermarket It was a boredom 'thing'.
I had nothing to read at home that was new and it 'looked' good, and it was.
The storyline gripped me from the very first page. The twists and turns in this book are so well written and linked in with everything going on that you forget how far into the book you have read.
I finished this book in less than 48 hours. Yes 2 days.
A crime unearthed, but who? When? How?
Trust me. This is a great read and I can guarantee that the very last chapter will have you amazed.

I finally got round to watching it at home, and in all honesty, FD5 is actually pretty enjoyable! For the first time in ages, we are presented with characters who are relatively likable!
Plot wise, it's all very much the same, although it does spend more time with the cheating-death-by-killing-someone-else idea.
The deaths are pretty creative (that gym scene though) without feeling too over the top like previous installments.
The film ends on an inspired and unexpected twist, which elevates FD5 over it's predecessors, and arguably delivers the best overall movie experience in the series to date!
