Carol Childs is making a career change to reporter for a talk radio station in Los Angeles, and she jumps on any scoop she can get. Which is why she uses her relationship with her neighbor Samantha to get inside scoop on the death of Sam’s aunt Pepper Millhouse, one of Hollywood’s top agents. However, when what appeared to be an accident looks like murder, Carol begins to wonder if she is in over her head. Can she use her insider status to uncover the truth?
I really enjoyed this debut. It starts strong and never lags as we go from one twist to another until we reach the ending. Along the way, we get to know the cast of characters, all of whom come across as developed here. I did find one character, a psychic, more annoying than entertaining. Additionally, the book had several handfuls of typos scattered throughout the book, which annoyed me. Still, both of these were minor, and I will be reading about Carol’s further adventures soon.

This is a lovely story. Though it stay on history and what is going on with senate. It about woman named Anna who wants finds a mistake and want to correct it. Though when she goes to font the Navy. She hit roadblocks along the way. She wants to know the truth.
Anna want to find out what happen to a ship that disappeared at sea. Luke is also struggling with his spot in Congress. Anna and Luke run into each other. Anna wants the information on this ship. Everyone around her is in the cover up. What could be the real reason of the ship disappearance? There is twist and turn each time you turn the page. What are the secrets that got Anna and Luke are in embroiled in. Will the truth put the nation at risk.
What will happen to Luke and Anna. Luke is dealing with many problems of his own. Can he raise this nephew Philip. What is going on in Luke hometown that he repentant in Congress in Maine. Luke deal with the loss of another family member. Can Luke control his temper?

Daniel has work up and we find out where he is. He looking for safety for a while. He rests up he meet some of the Tenebreon. He needs to fine some allies so he can help defect the Emperor. He want to save his home town. Will he be able to do so.
What is the cost that Daniel will do to save his hometown. There a secret that will be reveal at the end of the book. A man that became governor has been doing some horrifying and his tied to Daniel. We learn more about his allies Tenebreon and some more about Daniel.
Daniel had crossed the Burning sea. What going on with resistance. There are twist and turns and more surprises then at ever page is turned. I would advise that your child or children be a bit mature for there are lots of deaths and killing. I would advise that is be for 13+ for those that are reading this book. Parents I would be sure it something want them reading. There is no swearing or minimal swearing in the book. It just has lots of deaths.

Looking for an action-packed book. Well, Lone Wolf Lawman is packed to the brim with action. You get quite a few things in this book. There a romance as well. We meet Angie and Wes.
When Addie is pulled inside her barn by someone. She starts fighting him as she thinks she is attacked or dragged. But when we find out it Weston. He has come back and he when to warn Angie that the Moonlight Strangler may be after her and want her as his next victim.
Who is Moonlight Strangler? Who wants Addie dead. There is the twist and turns throughout this page-turner. Once you get started you are pulled in.
Who is after her and Weston? Delores Fossen plot is great, She tells the story like no other romance to a point that it has action throughout the story plot. There a surprise that Addie tells Weston?
This brings in the sheriff and Addie family and you will find that there are more surprises and twisted along the way. You will not be disappointed and you will be surprised at how it ends.

The idea of being stranded alone somewhere is certainly a terrifying one, and as such has been used countless times in literature (and film). Moving the location 140,000,000 miles from Earth adds a new twist to the tale though, and adds an increased sense of desperation. When astronaut Mark Watney finds himself trapped on Mars after an accident, he turns out to be more resilient and resourceful than many of us would, and goes about doing everything he can to ensure his survival and up his odds of rescue. Given that rescue is so far away, and the harsh Martian environment is so unforgiving, things don't always go his way. The series of setbacks he experiences keeps readers in suspense throughout the entire book. The story is told largely from the perspective of Mark dictating to his log, which gives it a casual tone, making Mark very likable, and keeping the technical bits easy to understand. As such, this is a fun read, that kept me on the edge of my seat. If the movie is anywhere near as good as the book, it should be one of the best of the year.

No Limits (No Shame #2) by Nora Phoenix
No Limits is the second book in the No Shame series, and this time we focus on Josh, now that Indy and Noah have their HFN. Josh is happy for them, but wants a man of his own. At the same time, he doesn't want to lose Noah and Indy, so he doesn't really know what to do. With some 'subtle' prompting by Noah, Connor contacts Josh in the hope of going on a date. Josh deals with him in his usual blunt and honest style.
This story adds more to Indy and Noah's story, whilst filling in the blanks about Josh and Connor. Once again, this is original, so don't expect a 'normal' storyline. Nora Phoenix is pushing the boundaries between what you might expect and what you get. I for one think that it's absolutely brilliant, and once again, can't wait to read more.
Excellently written and with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt my reading flow, this was once again a book to sit and read, whilst thoroughly enjoying every twist and turn. Absolutely recommended by me.

The J.D. Robb story, "Taken In Death," was enjoyable - a nice thing, since it's the reason I bought the anthology. In it, Dallas takes on a kidnapper in a rebelling of Hansel and Gretel. I skipped the stupid coin story by Mary Blayney. I read one of her coin stories once and it was just too clichéd and predictable for me to ever put myself through that again. I do wonder, though, if she ever writes anything else? I went ahead and read "Beauty, Sleeping" by Elaine Fox, to see if the rest if the book would be worth reading.. While Fox's piece was okay, it was more romance than anything else. It had a supernatural twist, and it was a reworking of Sleeping Beauty, but in the end it was a romance. And to be honest, I just didn't trust the editors any more at that point. They chose Blayney and then the Fox piece, and one Robb story didn't outweigh them. I suppose if I'm ever truly hard up for something to read, I might try the other two stories in the book - but I would probably read one of the many free novels available before then.

This book is a wonderful tribute to The Thin Man, and fans of Hammett’s classic book or the films will love it. However, even if you aren’t familiar with them, you’ll still absolutely love this book. The plot is well constructed with plenty of twists and surprises. The characters are all strong. And there are tons of laughs, be they from Nic and Nigel’s new dog or the banter between the characters. Pick this book up today.

Murder of a Poor Teen
Midwife Sarah Brandt has gotten involved with the work of the Prodigal Son Mission which helps teenage women learn skills to keep them off the streets. That’s how she is able to identify the body that Detective Sergeant Frank has found in a park – it’s one of the girls from the mission. With no one to push the police to find justice for this girl, Sarah insists that Frank figure out what happened, with a little help from her. Will they find the killer?
I was compelled to read this book soon after I read the previous one with the promise of an update on an ongoing storyline. We do get quite a twist there before this book is over. The main mystery was a little weak, however. I didn’t feel like it had the twists we normally get, although maybe that’s because I had an idea what was going early in the book. The pages still flew by since the characters are strong and the time period comes to vivid life. Any time spent in this series is time well spent.

With Malice by Eileen Cook is a Young Adult (YA) thriller that is enjoyable to read. The story is about an 18-year old named Jill, who wakes up in the hospital but the twist is that she has no memory of the previous six weeks of her life. She is told that she spent part of that time in Italy with her best friend but was involved in a fatal car accident. Two Jill the car accident does seem to be so accidental based on what she is being told.
The main character is unreliable yet it add a level of suspense and creativity, which kept me interested in the story. Jill's narration was spot on yet it allowed me to form my own ideas and theories regarding the mystery.
There are different points of view and clues from investigators to reporters to followers. Overall, I enjoyed the story very much. I found it interesting and a good breathe of fresh wait to the YA genre.
