The Boys - Season 1
2019 | Adventure, Comedy
This show is a great contrast to the current superhero movie mania. The Seven, a superhero group headquartered in NYC, are essentially corrupt, and mostly horrible people.
The cast was great, and I hadn't really heard of any of the actors, aside from Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, and Simon Pegg.
Eight episodes were sufficient enough for me, it did drag a little in the beginning for me. But, that cliffhanger was NOT COOL. Thank god they're already filming season 2!

Cannot wait for the 2nd series of The Boys.
Superheroes who on paper are the model heroes, but behind closed doors are a bunch of needy over powered arseholes. Oh and Starlight is stunningly beautiful, oh and Karl Urban is amazing, oh and the Superman clone is more like Brightburn ( OMG I need to review that as well!!) and just everything! Just watch it. If you have had enough of goody two shoe heroes watch this

"It was hard to choose one Antonioni film, but Red Desert feels like the perfect summation of Antonioni’s work. Antonioni used color for the first time in order to show psychological imbalance and subjectivity. He depicted the modern alienation surrounding the industrial fog that’s imposed upon our lives in urban environments, and he shows how these forces can threaten our sanity. The film also has the most freakishly uncomfortable sex scene, which turns an entire room pink. Only Monica Vitti has that power"
