Solid feel good Christmas film
I enjoyed this Christmas film. It had magic, romance and drama. The acting was good and the storyline was a nice Christmas story line.
The main character will be familiar as Bonnie from The Vampire Diaries and as good an actor as she is, she is more annoying than likeable. That is the case in this film too. It's a shame, but the mistake she makes that causes the drama, seems like something a spoilt pentulant toddler would do. You take an instant dislike to her, not that you loved her from the off though.
Overall, I liked the idea and did enjoy the movie. Everyone needs a little magic at Christmas and The Holiday Calendar provides it.

If you are looking for a hot, sensual and thrilling (on more than one level) quick read, then I suggest you try out Felicity Heaton's first book in the Vampire Erotic Theatre series. This book lets you dip your toe in the vampire's world. It gives you a run down on the difference between the two sets of vampires and gives you a quick insight into what their world is like. There are characters in here that make the story very intriguing - and not just Javier and Lilah!

I love the groundwork that the author has put down, these details are what makes a book special and very, very readable.

If you want something bland and boring, then pass by this Novella. This is hot and spicy - loved it!

A movie you can really sink your teeth into
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a horror/comedy about a high school cheerleader who learns that it is her destiny to hunt vampires.
juggling being a student/cheerleader & Training to hunt & kill the undead proves to be a little more stressfull as the final hour draws closer.
A fun light hearted yet dark themed Classic.

The movie was a moderate success at the box office but garnered mixed reviews by critics.

taken in a different direction than writer Joss Whedon intended, five years later, he created the darker, more successful TV series of the same name.

directed by Fran Rubel Kuzui
starring Kristy Swanson, Donald Sutherland, Paul Reubens, Rutger Hauer, Luke Perry, and Hilary Swank.

"Ives's 114 Songs has been a major source of inspiration for me (particularly for my 69 Love Songs and 50 Song Memoir). But that wasn't all he wrote: from 1887 to 1926 Ives wrote 193 songs, and here they all are on six CDs: lullabies, Christmas carols, German operetta emulations, mortal laments, parlor ballads, cowboy dirges, and even election-day commentary on 'Nov. 2, 1920 (An Election)', and 'Vote for Names! Names! Names!', of which Ives says, ""The [three] pianos represent three political candidates, each uttering his own 'hot air slogan'; the singer represents the disillusioned voter."" The texts come 80% from poets (Keats, Kipling, Oliver Wendell Holmes, and many anonymous sources) and 20% from Ives himself, whose aw-shucks Americana (as on 'Slugging A Vampire') and gleefully jarring harmonies keep the surprises genuinely surprising.
