Take one commitment-phobe vampire and one part-human part-fae who have been dancing around each other for two years. What you get is a short story filled with passion and history. There is no insta-love with this story, instead, it's been building between them for two years before either of them realises what it is. Of course, it takes the presence of very real danger to both of them to make them realise but this just gives the story some action.
A quick read, full of steam. Definitely recommended.

In this short erotic paranormal story, we meet Russell; he's a self-published author with enough money to pay for a clever marketing campaign and to donate to his favourite causes. He lives in a mansion with his childhood friend and makes use of the stories told about him to get what he wants!
This is not a romance story, but it is compelling reading! There is murder, an obsessed crazy woman, journalists, and of course, a vampire. All of this is packed into a steamy bundle of fun.
Well-written, fast-paced, and steamy! Definitely recommended.

This is not a romance story, but it is compelling reading! There is murder, an obsessed crazy woman, journalists, and of course, a vampire. All of this is packed into a steamy bundle of fun.
Well-written, fast-paced, and steamy! Definitely recommended.

The Vampire Among Them
Nosferatu The Vampyre- is a very slow movie. Very slow, for 90% of the time nothing happens and when some does happens its only for three minutes max. I always wanted to watch the oringal, never got a chance to, hopefully soon i will. As for this remake its so-so.
The plot: Jonathan Harker is sent away to Count Dracula's castle to sell him a house in Virna, where he lives. But Count Dracula is a vampire, an undead ghoul living off men's blood. Inspired by a photograph of Lucy Harker, Jonathan's wife, Dracula moves to Virna, bringing with him death and plague... An unusually contemplative version of Dracula, in which the vampire bears the cross of not being able to get old and die.
There are two different versions of the film, one in which the actors speak English, and one in which they speak German.
Herzog's production of Nosferatu was very well received by critics and enjoyed a comfortable degree of commercial success.
The film also marks the second of five collaborations between director Herzog and actor Kinski.
While the basic story is derived from Bram Stoker's novel Dracula, director Herzog made the 1979 film primarily as an homage remake of F. W. Murnau's silent film Nosferatu (1922), which differs somewhat from Stoker's original work. The makers of the earlier film could not obtain the rights for a film adaptation of Dracula, so they changed a number of minor details and character names in an unsuccessful attempt to avoid copyright infringement on the intellectual property owned (at the time) by Stoker's widow Florence. A lawsuit was filed, resulting in an order for the destruction of all prints of the film. Some prints survived, and were restored after Florence Stoker had died and the copyright had expired.
By the 1960s and early 1970s the original silent returned to circulation, and was enjoyed by a new generation of moviegoers.
In 1979, by the very day the copyright for Dracula had entered the public domain, Herzog proceeded with his updated version of the classic German film, which could now include the original character names.
Herzog saw his film as a parable about the fragility of order in a staid, bourgeois town. "It is more than a horror film", he says. "Nosferatu is not a monster, but an ambivalent, masterful force of change. When the plague threatens, people throw their property into the streets, they discard their bourgeois trappings. A re‐evaluation
of life and its meaning takes place."
Like i said its a decent movie.

you need the first book before this one!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarain, I was gifted my copy of this book.
I'm gonna jump straight into this, cos that is exactly what the book does!
Celeste is transitioning from human to vampire. We don't know how she got to this state, but some things become clear as the book moves on.
For the most part, I did like this book but a couple of things are niggling at my book brain, and ya'll know I can't NOT tell you!
This is, according to the bit at the back of the book, a sequel to The Immortal Twin. I wasn't told that, when this came through to the blog, and I should've been. It meant that I didn't have the full picture of this world, and Celeste's place in it. That meant, even though I knew it was jumping straight in, I didn't fully appreciate this book.
I got a bit. . . .lost, I think is the best word, about Celeste and her place in this world. About her family dynamics, and the child whom she calls her own. The child, Raina, caused me the most confusion. She is, I think, a vampire, but has been going to a day school?? Again, I think the fact that I hadn't read the first book meant I suffered somewhat.
There is much, actually, that is niggling but I cannot dig it out.
Celeste has the majority voice here. A couple of her vampire teachers also have a single chapter each. I think I would have liked it better had they NOT. One chapter each is not enough for other voices to be fully heard, and they did have some interesting things to say! I felt cheated! And there were other who I wanted to hear from, but don't.
It does have a cliff hanger ending. And I liked this book sufficiently to want to know what happens next. I want to know what Celeste does about the situation she finds herself in, given what happens here, and her family's reaction to her news.
I think, for me, I should have read the first book so I'm going to say this: if you come across this review without reading The Immortal Twin BEFORE this one, I strongly, so strongly, recommend that you do. You really do need it.
I can't stretch to 4 stars, I'm afraid, even though I do wish to see what happens. Too much is not sitting well here so:
3 good stars.

The immediate threat is over and happy to live in Italy with Gabriel and her family, Coco is getting more comfortable with her gifts. But when a concerned friend and her paintings highlighted the plight of teenage girls, Coco knows that the Allegiance has got to step in. However, with the team have to split up to cover two missions, things go from bad to worse.
Due to the majority of the characters already known to us, the book seemed to flow a lot quicker and the story was fast paced. Whilst Coco still had a major role to play, the story concentrated on some of the other characters and we learn a lot more about Pelayo, an El Salvadoran vampire and Sabine, a doctor who fights for the vulnerable. Also helping the Allegiance was a vampire with a surprising background. Whilst the main mission concentrates on the missing girls, Prudence has her own mission and it gives us the chance to meet some of her ancestors and learn more about her life. Whilst we know that Kenan is behind the trouble, the story goes further to explain why he is the way his.
Due to the nature of the subject matter, this story came across a lot darker than book 1, but this just helps enforce just what Coco and company are up against. As I mentioned it was a faster pace due to the fact there was always something going on. The art still played a big part in the story and the picturesque descriptions of the paintings enable you to imagine them as you are reading.
A good addition to this fantasy series and I am looking forward to reading The Immortal Muse which came out on 31st March 2019

When Aaron sees a beautiful woman being shaken down by two corrupt cops on the streets of New York he steps in to try to help her. But Michelle does not need his help and is well able to deal with the police. However in the fracas Aaron is accidentally shot and fatally wounded. Michelle feels guilty and feels she has to save his life the only way she can - by turning him into what she is. A vampire.
Michelle teaches Aaron about his superhuman powers and how he has to live now but there is trouble brewing as Aaron comes to terms with his new life, the control Michelle has over him and letting go his old existence, the two corrupt police officers are determined to track Michelle down and make her pay.
Along the way there is plenty of sex. Vampires have always been sexy and the recent romantic resurgence of vampires has only emphasised this. Luedke takes this one step further. Vampire bites induce sexual arousal in their victims and Michelle teaches Aaron to use this with care, except when they are together when they are able to withstand each other's bites.
It would have been easy for the sex scenes to overwhelm the book but Luedke manages to keep everything as an integral part of the plot which evolves neatly throughout the course of the book as the various plot strands come together.
There are some terrific action scenes too with the vampires' hightened abilities resulting in some sequences that reminded me of The Matrix complete with 'bullet time'.
So if you want your vampires sexy and powerful and your stories thrilling and full of action this is the story for you.
Rated: Scenes of sex and violence. Frequent swearing.
