I really enjoyed this.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw the amount of 1 and 2 star reviews for this, but I have to say I liked it. Okay, so it wasn't a typical paranormal romance. It has several gory scenes and some scary characters but there's still romance in it. And it's probably leaning more toward Urban Fantasy with a splash of Horror mixed in. I'll say it isn't for the squeamish because there are some detailed scenes of deformity and injuries and it isn't always pretty reading.

I really liked the two main characters, Nathan and Carrie, and some of the lesser seen ones; Ziggy, Max and the butler that I've currently forgotten the name of :S.

The progression of Carrie from concerned Doctor to kick-arse vampire hunter was an interesting journey and I loved her relationship with Nathan. They are so good together.

Broken Beasts ( Xoe Meyers book 3)
By Sara C. Roethle

Xoe had hoped that after the events of the last few months, things would finally slow down. No such luck. The werewolves are out for blood, and so are the vampires apparently. Let's not even get started on the problems her own friends are causing. Regardless of the danger, Xoe and her rag-tag entourage are in Moab, facing the werewolf coalition. Their final ruling will change Xoe's fate, and the fate of her friends forever.

Here's hoping that's a good thing.
I got the first 3 books in a set and I have to say I’ve really enjoyed them! They are the new Scooby gang a mismatch of supernatural friends! This one was a bit of a slow burner but still kept the story going! I’m looking forward to more demon action as you don’t get it as much as the usual vampire and werewolves! A good start to a decent series!

Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments

After saving Rhain from an agonising death, Accacia is determined to find her missing friend Clover and rescue her from the mysterious Fae. With the assistance of her vampire knights, the group head into the forbidden forest of Ever Vale and into a world of mystery and magic.Drawn deeper into the depths of the wood, Accacia learns what it is to have courage, to fight for the ones you love and to know when to let them go.

It’s an easy read and an easy to follow story. I did prefer the 1st book to this one I’m hoping they pick up a little. I’m glad we finally get Ezra to stop being all moody and self involved. Devin had to be my favourite and he’s just gone dark so the next book should be better for me.

YES!!!!
"The answers we seek might be the only things that can save us now."

OMG! How could you leave me hanging by a thread??!! I was so caught up in this fast-paced story that I didn't realize I was reaching the cliff-hanging end until I flipped the page and was greeted by bonus content!! Who are the parents of... oh never mind, as I simply don't want to share any spoilers. Charlie has no idea of the existence of vampires until it's too late to do anything but little does she know that this revelation isn't the last. This well-developed storyline has it all from three vampire clans that have different gifts to action and just the right amount of romance and I love the characters. I hope that the author doesn't take too long in releasing the second book because my curiosity is going to have me bouncing off the walls.
