"I was in love with that song when it came out. It’s so good. I remember seeing her live -- she came to the Vogue [Theatre in Vancouver] and I was dancing, and nobody was really dancing yet, and I saw one other guy in the place dancing and I looked up and it was my brother! You can tell it runs in the family."

Bully is an action-adventure video game set in a fictional boarding school, Bullworth Academy.
In stereotypical fashion the students are divided into groups, nerds, preppies, jocks etc

The game follows newcomer Jimmy Hopkins, an aggravated teenager with an attitude problem who's about to discover what its like to be on the receiving end.
Filled with errands from both teachers and students & classes to pass like maths, geography, science & Gym and a GTA style gameplay and control system, bully has overtook its original canis canem edit pre gen console release with new characters and additional missions, with an array of costumes & weapons aswell as a perfectly annoying antagonist named Gary and a beautiful ending.

Bully created a gaming cult.

"Horror is my favorite genre, and Ari Aster’s debut is one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen. I caught it at an advance screening in Vancouver, and had to sleep with the hotel lights on afterwards – something I haven’t had to do since 2002. I was traumatized. I wondered if the movie might be too brutal. The only way to find out, of course, was to drag as many friends as I could to see it when it opened a few weeks later. Maybe it was thanks to my loudly screaming chums, but this time around I couldn’t stop laughing. What a wicked movie. I can’t wait to rewatch it every October for the rest of my life."

There were many things that attracted me to this novel by Bauermeister, first she’s from the Pacific-Northwest which is where I live. She lives in Seattle I live in Vancouver. The second, cooking, food, learning to cook, all things that I am fascinated with and want to explore more with includes me actually getting into my kitchen and cooking. Not only that, she appreciates the smells, textures, emotions, and all the ingredients that make up a recipe, not only for eating, but for your own life.
I identified with all of the characters, Tom, Chloe, Clair, Lillian, Antonia, Carl, Helen, and Ian. Lillian’s the teacher and the rest students. So worth reading, I devoured each page like a fine pasta dish from Italy. I recommend it.

GAME ON is the third and final book in the Vancouver Orcas series, but you don't need to have read the first two to get this one.

Jamie has joined the Orcas and hopes to start afresh. He is understandably wary about his new team, thinking it almost too good to be true. He lives with Dorian until he can find his own place. Dorian doesn't need to work, but does. He also has a secret project going on that he believes in, even if no one else does. Of course, others might believe in it too, if he'd only let them in. But Dorian has baggage of his own...

I loved this story! Jamie is just a big ole teddy bear, whilst Dorian is more of a hedgehog - prickly on the outside, squidgy on the inside. They are both attracted to each other, but neither of them wants to act on it. It is a slow-burn that builds up the tension. They are absolutely perfect for each other, and they both need the love and reassurance the other one gives.

I haven't read Books 1 and 2, but I've just gone and one-clicked both of them. You may not need to read them, but after seeing the characters in this book, I want to!

Absolutely brilliant and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

DIRTY RADIO is a DJ, producing, and songwriting duo from Canada. Not too long ago, they released their long-awaited third studio album, entitled, “Pleasures”.

“Our primary goal was to collaborate with all our favorite musicians and producers and then see what would happen. In writing and producing our past albums, we remained pretty introverted during the writing and recording process, only inviting a few key people to assist. For this record, we wanted to push ourselves creatively to write the best songs we could while remaining open to other ideas. Geographically speaking, we recruited collaborators on this record from Berlin, Brighton, L.A., Australia, Las Vegas, and here in Vancouver.” – DIRTY RADIO

‘Pleasures’ contains a diverse, interwoven array of singles which display DIRTY RADIO’s musical evolution through the lens of their irresistible R&B-infused electronic beats.

The likable project offers a delightfully diverse assortment of music ranging from future-house, garage, soul, and electro-infused R&B.

Also, the 16-track album contains relatable storylines, ear-welcoming vocals, and groovy instrumentations flavored with an electro-dance aroma.

“This album is much more focused than our previous records. We really wanted to hone in on creating music we would be excited to perform live while also exploring and improving on our style (House/R&B). Although we have focused on releasing singles for the past few years. We wanted this album to be something you could listen to from beginning to end.” – DIRTY RADIO

Since 2010, DIRTY RADIO has been crafting a satisfying synthesis of progressive soul, R&B, and electronic music.

With their diverse musical influences, the multi-instrumentalists and producers have been working tirelessly in their studio.

Also, they’ve been racking up impressive Soundcloud and Spotify numbers. Plus, releasing tracks for iconic labels such as Spinnin’, Partyfine, Majestic Casual, and Mad Decent.

"I think one of the main reasons I picked Abattoir Blues and Lyre Of Orpheus was because, as a double album, you get more bang for your buck. Abattoir Blues has a more gospel feel to it, background vocals and big crescendos. Lyre Of Orpheus was generally a quieter record except for the title track, which is one of my favourites. I love the lyrics to that song. One awesome thing about Nick Cave is the darkness and the humour in his stuff. On Abattoir Blues, I love 'There She Goes, My Beautiful World', 'Hiding All Away' and 'Nature Boy'. Just good tunes man. At this point you can hear the Warren Ellis influence. I've always been a Nick Cave fan, since The Birthday Party. My roommate at the time, Charles Peterson [Sub Pop photographer], had a copy of Prayers On Fire and I've been listening to and following Nick Cave ever since then. First time I got to see him he didn't play Seattle, so me and my friends drove three hours north to Vancouver and that was on the First Born Is Dead tour. My favourite ever Nick Cave lyric was going way back to 'Deep In The Woods' [from Mutiny/The Bad Seed] - where it ends with the line, "Tonight we sleep in separate ditches"; that always cracks me up. 20,000 Days On Earth was the best music documentary I've ever seen. It didn't follow the normal " and then he did this and then he did that" of those Behind The Music narratives, it was a surreal and cool peak in to Cave's world. Something I learned about him that I didn't know already is that he likes to eat pizza in front of the TV!"

GIDEON'S GRATITUDE is the fifth book in the Love in Mission City series, focusing on Gideon and Archer.

Gideon is in daily chronic pain, living alone with his dog, Lucky. He was married and had two children, but after suffering an accident and becoming addicted to painkillers, he was divorced and his children living with his ex, who didn't trust him to be near them.

Archer has bought the plot next to Gideon's home and turns up when he has run away from Vancouver after discharging himself from hospital. He ends up knocking on Gideon's door when a tree crashes on top of his SUV, luckily when he wasn't in it!

This story mainly focuses on Gideon and what he is dealing with - depression and parental alienation are just two things. I can honestly say that both topics are written well. It's nice to lose myself in fiction where these topics are talked about, but have a HEA ending, that unfortunately doesn't always happen in real life.

The relationship between Archer and Gideon takes time, so yes, this is a slow-burn. It wouldn't be right to have it any other way. The moments when they are 'together' together are sweet and sexy, with just enough burn, without taking anything away from either man.

A great addition to the series that can absolutely be read as a standalone, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and have no hesitation in recommending it.
