Arrow
2012 | Drama
This series is a decent attempt at chronicling the background, and current activities of one of the DC Universe's lesser known/adapted for the screen heroes - the Green Arrow. While it starts as quite a dark, Batman-esque vigilante, it soon develops into a more team-based, lighter-hearted series. I think part of this is to fit more naturally with the cheesy spandex of The Flash. Despite this, the character of Oliver Queen retains a dark streak and his actions are much more morally dubious, giving it an edge. The story flips between present day and the island Oliver was marooned on, where he learned the skills needed to become the Green Arrow.

Just watched liked it as a sequel but preferred the previous one I will say this straight off this one is the most goreist of all the Halloween the body count in this one is high. Some of the best parts of the movie is seeing the events of the movie thru the townsfolk of haddenfield who were there during the first film who decided to go vigilante on Michael. Also I like the call backs to the first one with will pattons officer hawkins. Overall good sequel bring on the third part and maybe the end of Michael myers

Solid Suburban Mom Vigilante Bad Ass Movie.
This was a good time. It's like Boondock Saints (minus the style) meets Shooter and Alias. Everyone loves it when untouchable bad guys get their comeuppance. We all like watching the take down of corruption. That said I could've used a little more depth of story. It was mostly by the numbers as far as action films go. I went into this one not knowing the basic premise, my wife picked it and I said ok. Had I known the premise I would've seen most of this movie coming. That's not to say it's less enjoyable, just that it's slightly less awesome. (hence the 7)

Hmmm … what to make of this?

I picked this up on a whim when I spotted it on sale in a local 'Works' (basically, bargain books) shop, with fond memories of playing the game on which it is based.

I thought it would be, basically, a comic/graphic novel retelling the plot of that game.

I was wrong.

A few pages into this, I realised it's actually a 'Choose-your-own-adventure' style of story, set (as the name suggest) back at the very start of Batman's career as a vigilante crime-fighter, with little-to-no links to that console game.

It was interesting for a diversion, however it did only take a couple of attempts to reach the 'good' ending (and even that was not that great), after a few dead-ends.

An interesting experiment, maybe, but nothing to set the world alight.

Damian's second step.
Having read Tomasi's Superman Rebirth and now this New 52 title, I am really impressed on his grip and development of the 2 most iconic DC families. Unlike the Kent's, though, this is interesting as a single parent vigilante scenario.

I like Damian as a character. His relationship with his father gets fleshed out throughout this series, with both of their doubts and fears about each other fully realized and explored. This book covers how Damian was raised by Talia al Ghul and has him in a Court of Owls tie-in story. There's a 3 part arc with villain Terminus that deals with sibling rivalry among the Robins. It ends with a 2 parter that seems like a relapse for Damian. The beauty is that these individual stories contain a subtle story arc amongst them...one which culminates in a touching moment at the end.

Commonly cited as one of the best Batman graphic novels, this is the one that turned Batman from the Camp Crusader of the Adam West years into the growling anti-hero of the Tim Burton and (later) Christopher Nolan films (leaving aside the Schumacher mis-steps in the middle).

Written in the 80s but set in the near-future, this sees Bruce Wayne return to his role as the vigilante 10 years after unspecified events that saw him hang up his cape. His return, however, also sees the return of some old foes, alongside that of some new.

While - as it was written in the 80s - some of the subject matter is now out of date (most noticeably, the Cold War between America and the USSR), this still holds up surprisingly well. I also have to say that, with some crowded art panels, language and the violence throughout, this is also not one for the kiddies!

Like a more realistic Scooby Doo story
This part of the non-Moore-approved pre-Watchmen story revolves around Laurie Jupiter, daughter of the original Silk Spectre. In a burst of teen angst she pushes against her mum's vigilante training regime (and the news of some of the saucier aspects of her past) and runs away from home with her new boyfriend.
She meets a camper van full of hippies and heads off to San Francisco with them. She soon uncovers a nefarious plot to poison the LCD supply in the city (zoinks!) and sets out to uncover them.
There is a certain Scooby Doo feel about this book, and while it is entertaining enough, and the artwork is enjoyable, it doesn't really seem to add much to the pre-Watchmen series as a whole. One exception is the Nite Owl and the Comedian's brief involvement in Laurie's decision to head home to Mom, their two different approaches showing their personalities.

Against The Clock
Saw II- continues off of the first one. More games, more victims and more torture. I like the story, I like donnie Walhburg, I like tobin Bell and I like Shawnee Smith. I like the twist and turns thoughout the movie. I like the psychological espect of the film. So much of the first film is in this film which is good.

The Plot: On the hunt for the twisted vigilante and serial killer Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), Detective Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg) and his team must apprehend the elusive murderer to rescue eight people trapped in an abandoned house, before they succumb to his torturous and murderous games. One twist to this task is that Matthews' own son, Daniel (Erik Knudsen), is among the eight people Jigsaw has chosen to test for their lack of morality. With nerve gas pumping through the house, every second counts.

A good sequel to a fantastic first film.

What Are You?
I seen this film twice now, once back in 2019 when it came out and once couple days ago and im still confused what this film is trying to be, cause i have no idea what its surpost to be. Is it surpost to be a comedy film, a drama film, a action or all above? I have no clue.

The plot: Nels Coxman's quiet life as a snowplow driver comes crashing down when his beloved son dies under mysterious circumstances. His search for the truth soon becomes a quest for revenge against a psychotic drug lord named Viking and his sleazy henchmen. Transformed from upstanding citizen to coldblooded vigilante, Coxman unwittingly sets off a chain of events that includes a kidnapping, a series of deadly misunderstandings and a turf war between Viking and a rival boss.

If your confused as i am than dont watch this film, but if you like Liam Neeson kicking ass than watch this film.
