Arrow
2012 | Drama
This series is a decent attempt at chronicling the background, and current activities of one of the DC Universe's lesser known/adapted for the screen heroes - the Green Arrow. While it starts as quite a dark, Batman-esque vigilante, it soon develops into a more team-based, lighter-hearted series. I think part of this is to fit more naturally with the cheesy spandex of The Flash. Despite this, the character of Oliver Queen retains a dark streak and his actions are much more morally dubious, giving it an edge. The story flips between present day and the island Oliver was marooned on, where he learned the skills needed to become the Green Arrow.

Just watched liked it as a sequel but preferred the previous one I will say this straight off this one is the most goreist of all the Halloween the body count in this one is high. Some of the best parts of the movie is seeing the events of the movie thru the townsfolk of haddenfield who were there during the first film who decided to go vigilante on Michael. Also I like the call backs to the first one with will pattons officer hawkins. Overall good sequel bring on the third part and maybe the end of Michael myers

Follow on from Batman, Volume 4: Zero Year – Secret City, this collects issues 25-27 and 29-33 of the so-called New 52's take on Batman, here again in his earliest days - so well before The Joker, Robin, etc - as the vigilante Batman in Gotham City.

Yet to form an alliance with the police, who are - here - still trying to capture or kill him, this Batman does not always win his battles, often coming home to Wayne Manor beaten, bloody and bruised.

That doesn't stop him still trying, though, with this graphic novel - and this storyline - showing how he goes on to become a beacon of hope to the Gothamites.

Daredevil (2003)
Daredevil (2003)
2003 | Action, Sci-Fi
pre-MCU much-derided superhero movie, with a pre-Batfleck Ben Affleck miscast as the titular (and blind) Daredevil, vigilante by night and lawyer by day, alongside an equally miscast Jennifer Garner as Elextra Nachios.

Colin Farrell, however, chews the scenery as Bullseye whilst Michael Clarke Duncan does make an imposing Kingpin, and some of the fight scenes (particularly in the directors cut) are effectively brutal - talking of which, if you must, the Directors Cut is the one to watch - whilst a pre-MCU Jon Favreau again effectively plays the sidekick ('Foggy' Nelson instead of - in the MCU - 'Happy' Hogan).

Charlie Cox, however, is a much better fit for the role and, indeed, stars in a much better series than this movie is.
