This part of the series is written from Ryan (the youngest brothers) point of view. The series is getting pretty intense now, really want to know how it ends.
Ruby is a virgin so the sex scenes in this were much more restrained that the others which I think reined the author in a bit, kept her away from the cringe of the other brothers. Enjoyed this one much more because of that

A teen flick wrapped up in a John Carpenter film
There are many elements of 1970's and 80's horror films in this modern movie. From the panning cinematography and quietness of The Shining, to the virgin aspect of Halloween and Friday 13th. In this case, they've used the idea of sex to transmit a curse hence the plot is rather thin. And while the dream like quality is always eerie, the story wasn't strong enough to warrant a good rating.

This is my fav one so far.. I love Daegus.. he is hott and amazing and sooo awesome. I love his twin's book also but omg.. this one.. YUM. i loved his girl as well.. she was an awesome heroine. the only thing that irritates me a little about these books is all the girls are like 24+ in age and still a virgin.. does that really matter? but otherwise they are still amazing and wonderful and i totally recommend them :)

"This thing has everything: an evil killer elf, a pervy department store Santa, a heroic homeless department store Santa played by Dan Haggerty, neo-Nazi occultists, an exploding car, The Virgin of Anti-Christmas, perms on every female character, nudity aplenty, castration, electrocution, a kitten drowned in a toilet — I could keep going. Just watch the trailer on YouTube and then find this movie immediately by any means necessary. If Troll 2 had a holiday special, this would be it."

This was a really enjoyable read as a flight attendant myself it was interesting to see another woman's sassy take on it. She is a very out there woman and I believe just her opinion on it all. Knowing other virgin Atlantic crew members it isn't an accurate picture of them as some live a more subdue lifestyle.

But all things aside it is a fabulous read if you are into all your "galley fm" and a good giggle.

Personally it's one to take lightly.

"You may recognize Diane Guerrero’s name from Orange Is the New Black and Jane the Virgin, but her memoir is about the tragedy that struck her in her childhood. When she was just 14 year old, she came home to discover that her parents and brother had been arrested and were being deported back to Columbia. Diane got to stay in the US because she was born here. At a time when immigrants are living in more fear than ever, Guerrero’s book is a must-read."

A sombre tale of choices
At first, you end up loathing the cynical protagonist, a womanizing professor, who seems to have lost the will in life. Until the moment he realises the tragedy that befalls his daughter and that some things are out of his control.

The prose is poetic and decadent, but where I find some difficulties in processing is the protagonist's outlook of separating women into the virgin or prostitute category. What we understand is that the main character has actual little understanding around him. Very intriguing read.

"I find Air to be more of a love band than a sex band. Romantic, not seductive… for before it gets dirty. Sonically it's very warm sounding, very inviting. The drums have this 70s muffled drum tone, nothing is brash or abrasive, all the songs roll, they come in waves. I liked Air before this, I came across them through the Virgin Suicides soundtrack, which had the song Playground Love, another saxophone one that I love. But the Talkie Walkie record is another of those where I like the whole thing, no skipping."

I found this book really hard to read, probably because I was so disgusted by what the main character felt was important to do before she died. Amongst these insipid tasks were things like trying drugs and having sex, which probably weren't the best ideas considering her condition. I know most teens would probably say they wouldn't want to die a virgin, but even if you're dying having sex with a guy you just met is wrong. Usually I try to finish what I started just for the heck of it, but this book was just too painful to finish.
