The wedding day game they turned deadly, I guess it is "till death do us part". After the vows are complete, and she promises to be his for ever more, the bride finds herself caught in a deadly game of hide and seek with her newlywed husband's edgy family.
Honestly, this film, for me was a great watch. It was intense, and I have to admit, some scenes had my anxiety spike through the roof.

It's also a bit of a misnomer this time around - it should really be called 'Kidnap Mystery's - with the Spitzes (who have now quite their jobs and set up a detective agency) caught up in investigating the kidnapping from their own wedding of a returning figure from the 1st movie.
Which, if you've seen, you know what to expect from this.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated Til Death Do Us Party (A Liv And Di In Dixie Mystery #4) in Books
Sep 28, 2018
I have found the pacing in the series to be off, and this book continues the trend as the murder comes late in the book. We get some set up before that happens, but there is plenty of time spent with some sub-plots early in the book as well. The mystery, when it starts, is strong, providing some fun suspects and surprises before we reach the logical ending. The sub-plots partially allow us to check in with folks back in Dixie, Tennessee, so I'm not complaining too much. Having said that, the sub plot involving Liv's best friend Di and her boyfriend drove me crazy since both of them were behaving stupidly. This book is best for fans of the series since they will fully appreciate some of what happens here. And they will really enjoy this trip.

Kristy H (1252 KP) rated Pretty Guilty Women in Books

PRETTY GUILTY WOMEN was a really interesting and dramatic read. I was caught up in these women’s tales. I have a group of close friends from college (thankfully not estranged!) and also could relate to the harried mom, Ginger. I was fascinated by all that was going on in everyone’s lives (a lot of drama). There's a lot going on here--a college feud, the wedding, a mysterious young mom, each woman's own issues, but LaManna makes it all work. The book is told partially in police reports and then narrative from all the women. It's certainly fascinating, as details unfold slowly, and it keeps you guessing.
Overall, this was a quick read and perfect to finish up on my beach trip! I'm looking forward to reading more from LaManna!
