The controls can get buggy from time to time and make your horse act weird or make it hard to run and jump on your horse. (1 more)
Sometimes i had to restart a at a checkpoint because it wouldn't progress on the story. The first chapter is horrid and takes 10 years to finish.
Pretty good but lacking
All in all it was a decent game but I wish they would have cut down the hand holding they do in the first chapter to like the first mission and let you do what you want from the start. It was the same way when online multiplayer dropped they made you do what they wanted you to do for like the first 2 hours. With that being said I loved the graphics, the missions were fun, being in the wild west lifestyle was fun, I would definitely recommend giving it a play.

Jessica - Where the Book Ends (15 KP) rated Sharing You (Sharing You, #1) in Books

This is the very first Molly McAdams book I've read. I enjoyed the idea behind the story and loved that the characters were so versitile. The one aspect that made this book hard for me to finish was Olivia and Brody. I always got excited thinking this time he was going to smarten up and then she'd start up again with her craziness. Their interactions seemed extremely redundant to me and I found it painful at times to get through and even found myself skimming ahead. However, I did enjoy the book. I appreciate all the thought that went into each and every character and their backstory. Character development can make or break a book, and in this case it definitely saved this book for me. The characters and their lives are tragic and maybe that makes me weird but I love a good tragedy. This isn't one of my favorite books, but Molly McAdams has a lot of talent and I look forward to reading her other books in the future.

Some books are surreal suspensions of disbelief. Some books just make you go "WHAT the FUCK" every couple of chapters when a new twist is revealed, and this is one of the latter. Just - what the FUCK.
Imagine your average sci-fi space opera TV show on cable television with hand-wavey science and half-assed special effects - take those characters and make them realize they're IN A TV SHOW. Let them realize all of their woes are due to shitty writing, and see what they do with that knowledge. THAT is this book, and it is crazy and hilarious and weird and eye-roll-inducing.
Between the time travel, the Box that does magic science behind the scenes so things work out on-screen, the Narrative taking control and making people say and do things they wouldn't otherwise do - this book is wacky and just full of what-the-fuckery. It's fun, though, and if you can keep yourself from groaning out loud every few pages, it's a pretty good read.

Billie Wichkan (118 KP) rated The Creeper Dance in Books

DEATH
The (Grim) Reaper is a legend among humankind. They avoid my gaze, my touch or even mentioning my name in case it makes the speaker of it a target for my unwelcome attention...there's even a rumour around town that I'm Death's lover!
This supernatural suspense story soon reveals, Reaper's not male as tradition has it, but a bad ass, smart mouthed female, who is half vampire and half werewolf! She inhabits an alternative reality world. Other characters have weird names that bear no relation to their species or origins, but even so, they all live together in a land where all the houses are, (by law) uniform in size and style - again no giveaway to the residents' identities.
This novella (only 140 pages long), has a shockingly crucial cliff-hanger, it's my advice to buy all 3 books to discover the story-line's ending. An interesting idea for a plot, though am not quite sure when/how it will end. If you enjoy the Anita Blake series this is akin to it.
(Novella 2 is The Silent Song).

Sarah (7800 KP) rated Cold Pursuit (2019) in Movies

Confused
Let's face it, any film released nowadays with Liam Neeson as the main character is likely to be very similar to everything else he's done recently and also pretty poor. And sadly Cold Pursuit is no different.
The plot isn't anything new. It's Liam Neeson getting revenge on people again. Admittedly the setting and scenery are beautiful, it's just a shame the rest of the film can't live up to it I found the entire film very confused and wasn't entirely sure if it was meant to be a thriller, an action or a black comedy - it had aspects of all three and sadly not all of them worked, especially the humour. It was all a bit weird. And I adore Tom Bateman but his American accent in this is far too odd and I cringed every time he was on screen. And then there's the wasted Laura Dern and the pointless cops.
This is vaguely entertaining, but it dips in the middle and sadly suffers from a few acting faults and confusion on what genre it seems to lie in.

Sarah (7800 KP) rated Wounds (2019) in Movies

Unsettling but confused
This is the kind of horror film I usually enjoy. Something atmospheric, creepy and a little unusual, without the need to go over the top on horrific CGI or predictable jump scares. Wounds succeeds with this and the horror scenes are enjoyably creepy and unsettling. The problem is pretty much the rest of the film.
Armie Hammer and Zazie Beetz are very good, and when they're on screen together they're great, but the rest of the cast are left with little to work with and Dakota Johnson's character is a complete waste of space. The main issue is that the plot is rather weird, which would be fine if there was a decent explanation at the end but the ending is severely lacking and makes for a lot of confusion. The tone of the film also feels more like a drama with a bit of horror thrown in rather than a full on horror - with a little less of the drama and a little more exposition this might have been a decent film.
