Cody and his 2 friends Stevie and Brad, are ghost hunters not really having much to investigate, until a mysterious new artist displays his art at the museum of monsters that have been seen around the area over the years. Only now very peculiar things are happening which seem to point to some of the monsters being more than a myth!
A very well written descriptive story. You know where you are with this book no wondering what this that or the other is, as they are described in the book which really comes in handy when your not sure what something is. The close friendship between the friends is fantastic we all need close friends like that and are extremely lucky if we have them. An exciting captivating mystery that can be read again and again.

LACHLANN'S LEGACY is the first book in The Order of the Scottish Thistle, but the character is already known if you have read any of the Norman's Conquest series.
This was a well-written story with plenty of descriptions to immerse the reader in the situations Lachlann and Ethne find themselves in. There are a number of characters that stand out, Niall and Aldred being two of them. The pacing is perfect for the story as it twists and turns as the story progresses.
All in all, this was an enjoyable read that I have no hesitation in recommending.

This was a well-written story with plenty of descriptions to immerse the reader in the situations Lachlann and Ethne find themselves in. King Arthur.
There's no proof he ever existed, with the 'original' (for want of a better word) imagining of him being all Medieval style, Knights on horses, shining armour, lances etc (think the film 'Excalibur').
More recently, that's shifted to post-Roman Dark Ages, in the period between the Romans leaving Britain and the Saxon invasion.
Which is very much the time period in which this novel is set, (re)imagining Arthur to belong to this period (and all that entails), and with Merlin as a Druid rather than a Wizard.
This also 'brings in' several notable characters from the Arthur story alongside both Arthur and Merlin - Guinevere, Kai, Igrainne and Uther all make appearances here - but there is one notable absence (Lancelot) who, I presume, will appear in later books.
Well worth a read.

The protagonist in this book is Sophie, and the book is told from her perspective. Sophie is too good to be true 😀 , she is so well organised, likeable, patient, composed, helpful and just so cool that I want to be her. 😀 Why? Because I would have lost my patience after the first difficult bride. 😀 She agrees with all the bizarre request, allows to be treated horribly, her self respect being trampled over and over, and what she does? She smiles and carries on… Girl, how can you be so happy about everything? 😀 I really enjoyed all the characters in this novel, they are funny, enjoyable and interesting personalities.
I enjoyed the narrative thoroughly. The plot is filled with not only the weddings and crazy demands, but also with Sophie’s past life and relationships. I really liked these different parts of Sophie’s life, presented to the reader. I liked all the little twists and turns that this book had to offer as well. The topics discussed in this book were romance, breakups, friendships, the life of the rich and many more.
The writing style of this book was superb! I really enjoyed the added messages, bizarre emails and crazy stuff that Sophie has to deal with on a daily basis. The atmosphere of the book constantly changes, depending on the situations. The chapters have a medium length, but the pages just flew by for me, I was absorbed with Sophie’s life and her stories. Even though the ending of this book was quite predictable, I really liked how this book was rounded up.
So, to conclude, this book is a great mood booster, filled with characters that are full of personality and charisma, as well as the plot that shows different sides of Sophie’s life, it is laugh out loud funny and very enjoyable. I was very hooked from the first page, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who needs something easy, fun but at the same time very well written and playful.

Rogue One is a fantastic film. It feels so fresh, despite being "a Star Wars Story," mostly because it is so different than any of the movies in the main saga. Better yet, it functions as an awesome prequel to the original trilogy. Even if you're of mind to forget Star Wars 1-3, I'm betting you'll be more than willing to add this movie to the start of your Original Trilogy marathons. Rogue One is a delightful mash of a couple genres, most notably spy, heist, and war films, and it works so well. It's a ground level look at the Rebellion and their efforts to steal plans to the Death Star, shown through the point-of-view of regular soldiers with no apparent Force powers to speak of. It's a thrilling ride, and one that also gets you invested in its well-written characters in a fairly short amount of time. Oh, and Disney, is there any way Alan Tudyk can come back to the series?

A Touch of Flame (Flame #5) by Caris Roane
A Touch of Flame is the fifth book in the Flame series. This one deals with (Mark) Braden and Maeve. He is an alpha wolf, beaten near to death before his attackers were interrupted. Maeve is the one who saves him, and refuses to leave his side until he is well. They are both on a mission - to bring down the dark witch, Veyda. Maeve has been held prisoner by her in the past, but has gaps in her memory. Braden's wife was killed whilst being tortured by Veyda, so both of them have a vested interest.
This is a fast-paced, full of action, book that will hold your interest from beginning to end. There were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow. The storyline is smooth and well-rounded, and you definitely have a vested interest in the characters. Seeing Maeve's confidence grow in her own abilities was a great piece of writing. The flame world, with the alters who live there, continues to amaze. Absolutely recommended.

The storyline is smooth and well-rounded, and you definitely have a vested interest in the characters. Seeing Maeve's confidence grow in her own abilities was a great piece of writing. The flame world, with the alters who live there, continues to amaze. Absolutely recommended.
