1. Where Angels come in
So reading this in the dark is so bloody frightening but the only way to read it! This reminds me of all the creepy places we used to dare each other to go as kids. There are images from this story that are going to stay with me for a while! Brilliant short!!
2. Ancestors
Well that was bloody creepy as hell!! One I think I’m hiding all the toys in a locked box!! Also don’t go poking your nose in where it’s not needed!
3. Florrie
This sent shivers down my spine. I also felt a little sad at the lives just being left and florrie still being tied to the house. Think he would have listened to his mother though! A very strange story!
Overall!
I’m a huge fan of Adam Nevill’s work and have been for years his books truly terrify me. I find myself jumping at stupid noises in the house that I know are normal! I highly recommend his books!

1. Where Angels come in

The Super villains have taken over the city Felix lives in and are, in their own way doing a good job of running it.
Felix has his own super power, the ability to modify/repair/upgrade anything he owns, the only problem is it takes points for him to do anything and, even though they reset every midnight he never has enough points to anything major. This changes when Felix accidentally buys an almost dead super hero. As slavery is now legal the super hero is now his and Felix is surprised at how many points she gives him. Now Felix sets out to improve his life, but, can he do it with out being noticed. Or making enemy's.
Super Sales on Super Hero's was my first taste of litrpg and soon became one of my favourite books. Felix starts off as quite an understandable underdog and, even as he rises to become an overpowered hero, he find himself in situations where he can't do anything.
Being a 'LitRpg' book there are tables of stats, Felix can change anything or anyone he owns and these changes are represented by the characters stat sheets but these fit well into the narrative so don't pull you out of the story.
There is violence in this book and, although a lot of it is fantasy/superhero style fighting there is also gun battles and fist fights. It also touches on subjects such as slavery and harems.

It's now been three days since I watched The Green Knight and I haven't able to get it out of my head, it's strong combination of layered narrative and stunning visuals really leave an impression.
The themes running through the film are many. It presents itself as a coming of age tale, but is primarily about the conflict of pride and honour, and what one is willing to do to leave a legend in their stead. All of these threads are executed wonderfully under the skin of a fantasy voyage. The fantasy setting has a near constant feeling of dread running through it. There are moments here and there that flirt with horror, and are genuinely unsettling, thanks in no small part to a unnerving music score by Daniel Hart, a frequent collaborater of director David Lowery. His score draws you in to the point of not being able to look away, even when you want to.
As mentioned, The Green Knight is visually stunning, an unarguable feast for the eyes. The whole runtime is bursting with beautiful vistas, colourful fever dreams, inspired perspective shots, and some moments that are designed to stick in the mind, rent free. The whole aesthetic and world design feels unique, the titular Green Knight being a fine example.
It has a top tier cast just to really sweeten the deal as well.
All of these aspects combined make for an engaging Arthurian tale that is hard to forget. It surely won't be to everyone's liking, but as far as I'm concerned, it's an excellent piece of film making that absolutely deserves to be seen regardless.

Ali is at university and has 2 boys that she is friendly with one of them wants it to be more than friends with Ali whilst she wants to be more than Friends with the other she just doesn't know how to make the choice.
This is the first short story of the choices series by Ellie Yarde. I found it really well written, However I was not happy with the ending, not because its bad I just wasn't ready for it to end I wanted more from the story!
I'm glad that Ali was able to wake up and see the situation she was being manipulated into and made the right choice in my opinion, nobody should be made to feel the way that Oliver has made her feel.
Having been in similar situations myself I could feel my gut churning when she was being almost scolded by Oliver for not spending time with him, doing things she wanted to do, I wanted to almost climb into the book and shake her to make her realise that any relationship shouldn't be that hard to have, I do understand sometimes its not that easy to see when your the one in the middle of the situation and you like to see the best in everybody.
I really hope Ellie continues to write these stories as they are really enjoyable, maybe have a go at making them a little longer perhaps if at all possible. they are very easy going stories with some drama but a nice easy read.
I give 4/5 stars and recommend you read it.

Too Many Cheap Shots At Noel
Straightforward and To The Point
This record can be summed up in one work: simple.
This is a simple record both for the better and for the worse. This record contains some straightforward rock n' roll bangers, - songs like Wall Of Glass, Paper Crown, For What It's Worth and Bold - as well as some absolute derivative drivel - such as Chinatown, I Never Wanna Be Like You and I Get By. Luckily I'd say the record is about 70% good tunes and 30% garbage.
In terms of the record's sound, I was hoping for something similar to the stuff that Liam penned during the late era of Oasis. I'm Outta Time, from the last Oasis record is one of the best things Liam has ever written in my opinion, so I was hoping for that sort of sound and on this record I got it, (well for 70% of it anyway.) There is also undoubtedly a defiant energy present throughout the album as well, which carries some of the lesser songs on the album and saves them from being totally skip-able. As much as people have doubted Liam in the last few years, due to the underwhelming Beady Eye records and subsequent split and everything that has occurred in his personal life etc, he clearly still believes in himself very firmly and you can feel this brilliant sense of resilience throughout the record's runtime. That's another thing this album has going for it, it is very light on its feet and it never overstays its welcome. The total runtime is just shy of 45 minutes, with each of the fifteen songs hitting around the 4 minute mark, all either slightly above or below that duration which creates this great pace that compliments the album's energy perfectly.
For those of you that were doubtful about this record, as you've already heard what Liam without Noel sounds like in the form of Beady Eye, rest assured; this record is a million times better than either of the Beady Eye records. One thing that surprised me on this record, even though I know how Liam is, was how many times he takes a shot at Noel on it. Every second song is a pop at him and he's not even subtle about it. I know Liam is famous for his big mouth, but I naively thought that this time he was more focused on making a decent record than just slagging off his brother, which he does every day on Twitter anyway. Another downside is the lyrics on some tracks, you can see the next line coming from a mile away and some of the words he uses to rhyme are cringe-worthy. Don't get me wrong, there are some moments of potential greatness on this album as well and at times, it does reach the euphoric heights of some of the old Oasis tracks in terms of the way it makes you feel as a listener.
The production value is well done on this record as well, in the sense that Liam's voice sounds youthful and powerful on the record in contrast to how his voice sounds fairly used up during live gigs, but this is a review of As You Were as an album, not a review of Liam Gallagher's singing voice. The musicianship is also solid throughout with some drum beats you can't help but tap along to and some mega guitar solos.
Overall, I think that this record proved a lot of people wrong and took more than a few people by surprise. Sure, Liam didn't write many of the songs himself, but he does have something to say with this record and it feels impactful. Even if you don't like the music on a technical level, it's hard to fault the guy's resilient, defiant energy that he suitably weaves into this record.
