Gisell Middleton (189 KP) rated Strike - The Cuckoo's Calling - Season 1 in TV

Well made adaptation
I love Robert Galbraith’s (J. K. Rowling’s) novels and was very excited when I found out they were adapting it for tv. That excitement bittered a bit when I learned each “season” would only be 2-3 episodes long and would cover an entire book. There is a lot of material in the rich and detailed novels that would have lent themselves to a full length season. That being said, the show was very good. The casting, in my opinion, is excellent. I wish there was more!

Absolutely love this app.
Love this app, I pay £5 a month for premium as I am a student. Well worth the price. Have access to thousands of songs, can make unlimited playlists, have access to songs that come out on the same day.
The only downfall is that you cannot change the song unless you press shuffle which will choose a random song. This is due to not being a premium account.

My allegiances are conflicted
Another great development from this second part of the trilogy. Juliette had moments of being incredibly flaky in this book, but then I gave myself the proverbial slap around the face and reminded myself that she has had an awful childhood, prolonged captivity and is very mixed up. Adam seemed to be a more back seat character in this book and Warner made everything look triangular. Warner did seem more human and vulnerable and I'm trying to keep an open mind about him. Who knows where it's all going to end in book three. Well narrated.
David McK (3649 KP) rated Thuvia, Maid of Mars (Barsoom, #4) in Books

The fourth of Edgar Rice Burrough's Barsoom series that began with A Princess of Mars, this is actually the first book in the series that does not centre on the main protaganist of the first three novels (John Carter), as well as being the first story to be told in the third rather than first person.
As a consequence, I actually found this particular one to be a bit of a let-down from the previous, even if it does follow the same plot arc of those earlier stories (right down to yet another mysterious undiscovered race!).

LOVED IT!!!!!
Found this on Netflix and gave it a try. I was hooked after the first episode and binge watched all the way through. I love the thoughts from Joe's head giving reasonings for killing and kidnapping.... the way it comes across I often found myself thinking "I can see his point" and found myself rooting for the bad guy.....not sure what this says about me🤣🤔. Definitely worth a watch and I will be re-watching.
Tallulah22 (211 KP) rated the Nintendo Switch version of Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled in Video Games
Jan 4, 2020
I loved this game as a child and my brothers and I brought the remastered version on all 3 consoles the day that it came out so that we could revisit this game. It is just as good as I remembered it being and we have already had such fun in working through the story mode as well as racing against each other in the arcade. I don't like the fact that you are unable to skip the scene when they are introducing a new Gramd Prix each month but, thankfully, that is only once per Grand Prix.
