"This compilation of Gray’s earliest monologues is heartbreaking and hilarious. Encountering the neuroses and contradictions Gray lays bare in this work gave me a permission I hadn’t yet been given: to accept and even celebrate mystery, mortality, and imperfection. To encounter these pieces is to be Gray’s vital witness. He needs you."

"Continuing on the rock theme: I see this documentary as a document of the end of an ideal. It’s devastating and difficult to witness the end of such a hopeful era, but fascinating and extremely relevant. And on a lighter note, it’s always enjoyable to watch Mick Jagger strut around like a sexy peacock."

"This movie is really painful to watch but I love how intensely it explores the dark, private corners of a child’s mind. It really sinks you into this girl’s subjectivity and allows you to witness things that feel secretive and uncomfortably private. It’s a devastating film, and I really admire Catherine Breillat’s fearlessness as a filmmaker"

"How do you continue to write, to create beauty and aspire for freedom, under the darkest regimes? Akhmatova is brilliant—she is a fighter, a witness of her time, a thunder. The woman who makes me wish I could speak Russian. But reading her in translation is no less a treat for the mind and the soul."

Even better than the first series
This crime drama is brilliant. So many good plot twists and turns. This time the corruption squad are looking into an ambush on a witness under police protection. This does have some ties to the first series, so best watching that first. It's a gripping story that will keep you guessing.

Heart-racing tale of six young children, who while innocently playing in the woods, witness something they should not see. Now they, and everyone around them is in danger. Fantastic storyline, great characters and one heck of a ride! Quick read as you're sucked in from page one and simply don't want to out it down... Will surely be checking out more books by this author!

"One of the greatest Scottish writers, probably the most affecting prose witness to the unique spirit of the Highland wilderness there has ever been. This book, chronicling life lived with otters on the remote west coast of Scotland, was made into a classic children’s film by Disney in the ’60s, but the book has depths and breadth untapped by the movie. Our Walden of the Hebrides. Beautiful."

A great twist in this true crime documentary
A remarkable and intriguing true crime documentary slightly different to the usual Netflix films. For one, there are moments of optimism, and an incredible twist that exonerates this young father from the murder of a 16 year old witness. He was in the firing line for the death penalty, but something rather crazy happens so it's totally worth the watch.
