Trusting Jesus Every Day: Devotions to Increase a Woman’s Faith by Michelle Medlock Adams; Ramona Richards; Katherine Anne Douglas reminds us that somedays Trusting Jesus may seem easier than others. But it also reminds us that a smile can brighten a day and Giggling can be a wonderful workout. We are reminded too that Jesus should be our place of Refugee. The authors reminds us too that just as the body needs water we need living water to feed our Souls. Trusting Jesus Everyday reminds us that as Christians our Godly lives should be a witness to nonbelievers without words having to be said.

I was given a copy of Trusting Jesus Everyday through the Barbour Publishing, Inc.and their partnership with Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

This debut thriller by AJ Finn is an easy read with some great character development especially in regards to the main protagonist, an agrophobe ex psychiatrist who enjoys watching her neighbours through her window while drinking her favourite alcoholic beverage. Soon she finds herself the only witness to a murder where she questions her sanity (did this murder really take place and if so who did it and can she make anyone believe her?)

Finn really creates a character that anyone can relate to or feel for. A thriller of its genre which is already being made into a movie. The story has some twists (a tad predictable if you have an eye for detail.) However, it was an easy and enjoyable read.

“What boys do ballet?” One of my favourite memories of being in a cinema. It was The Filmhouse, Edinburgh, and we had heard this was getting good reviews, but were less than keen. From the first needle drop on T-Rex, through London Calling and The Jam, as Billy explores his passion for dance and expression in the face of Northern English prejudice and fear, I was in rapture! Julie Walters is the cornerstone performance-wise, but the immediate screen presence of Jamie Bell as Billy is undeniable. It reminds me so much of my own story that it will never fail to remain special. The feel good takes a while, and comes with lots of painful moments. But… when dad and brother witness that final moment… goosebumps on goosebumps!

Girl problems

413. 68 Kill. Chip's girlfriend Liza is gorgeous. Liza's sugar daddy has 68 thousand bucks in a safe that she wants to steal. Oh yea Liza is a prostitute and more than likely a sociopath. I know, you shouldn't make judgements about people based on only a few observations... With that, Liza also murders her sugar daddy and his wife, ooops and apparently they had another guest over, beauty, Violet that witnesses the whole thing. Now a sociopath would probably just kill the witness right? Liza does not, Chip is very relieved at this. Liza informs Chip that they'll just sell Violet to her brother Dwayne. Hmm. What to do? Love, makes you do crazy things... That kicks off quite the night for Chip in this violent black comedy. Filmbufftim on FB!
