Wonder Woman has long been a character for little girls to idolize, but Patty Jenkins’ smashing success grants a forceful push towards gender equilibrium in the superhero movie world. Gone are the fears that audiences will balk at a female-led fantasy.

Imagine a Mean Girl growing into a Mean Woman. Then, imagine this Mean Woman turning into a zombie. That's Amanda Feral. This book is hilarious, disgusting, and adorably snotty.
Amanda's friend goes missing so she teams up with her zombie friend Wendy to track her down. This book provides one of the, uh, most interesting depictions of burlesque I've ever read.

"The character of Dorothea Brooke, a gifted woman whose gifts are thwarted by the possibilities available to her, yet who flourishes despite it because of the greatness of her character, the depiction of a woman of passion and intelligence, the tracing of disillusionment in love and marriage—Middlemarch accomplishes all this while creating a vivid world of politics, community, and landscape."

(3.5/5) This biographical, historical, women’s fiction novel is about the woman who loved the prolific Jack London, Charmian. Overshadowed by her famous husband, with her debut novel “The Secret Life of Mrs. London,” Rebecca Rosenberg brings her front and center. Take a look at my review of this novel here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/06/27/an-almost-famous-woman/
