I may not have fallen in love with the characters of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, but I was mesmerized by the story. Taylor Jenkins Reid is a talented writer capable of weaving a multifaceted tale. I loved her writing style

John Green touched me with his words (1 more)
Unreliable writer , I would never expect that turn in the end
Highly recommend
John Green uses the words and the literature in a certain way, which makes you think and stops you to put the book down. His sentences are just simply amazing. The story, the emotions, the actions are unpredictable and beautiful. I highly recommend it with a box of tissue.

Jessica Cashen (1 KP) rated The Traveling Sex Game in Books
May 16, 2018
I was intrigued by the title, and surprised that I enjoyed this book. Written well, unique plot. It is about a writer that hears about and wants to write an article about an underground sex game called traveling sex game. I couldn't put it down. I would definitely read more books by this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Netgalley.

Cori June (3033 KP) rated The Last Unicorn: The Lost Journey in Books
Apr 1, 2019 (Updated Apr 1, 2019)
This first draft of a beloved tale shows how things change. Peter S. Beagle is a great writer there will be a lot of similar things to the finished version, however, it takes a left turn quite early in the original draft. I recommend you read the instruction and preface and not just dive to the story.

Miguel Covarrubias (143 KP) rated Libby, by OverDrive in Apps
May 24, 2019
Used every day
Audio books, podcasts, and music are what get me through the workday. As a writer I'm a huge consumer of books, libby helps to keep that obsession affordable. My local library usually stocks the latest and greatest audio books. Though the wait times are not ideal, it's still worth it to use the app.

Shakespeare fun
Writer/director/star Kenneth Branagh brings one of his several Shakespeare adaptations to the big screen with a very memorable cast including Denzel Washington, Emma Thompson, Michael Keaton and a very young Kate Beckinsale.
If you like old English you will love the comedy, mistaken identity with a little tragedy. This one is not too heavy and can be enjoyed by everyone.

Reagan Elizabeth Grainger (288 KP) rated The Secret Barrister: Stories of the Law and How It's Broken in Books

Great insight to law in England
I did enjoy this book and it gave a great insight into lae within the UK why its constructed in such a way and the limits of the law. This book doesn't for ne flow as well as it could as it reads as a dissertation rather than a "story".
