Masterful writing
I know I'm biased when it comes to Stephen King as he's my favourite writer, but I don't think anyone can deny how brilliant a writer he is. Not pretentious, just masterful writing, and this definitely comes across in this collection of stories.
The titular story and the one with the returning Holly Gibney, If It Bleeds, is definitely the best story in the book. After reading The Outsider I've definitely had a better appreciation of Holly as a character so it was nice to see her back again, especially as this story follows on in a way from the events in The Outsider. The other 3 stories in this book are good, but they don't quite match up to If It Bleeds, to the point where the first stories are barely memorable. They're also not quite as horror filled as you would come to expect from King, which was slightly disappointing. In all honesty if it hadn't been for If It Bleeds, this collection probably would've only gained itself a 6. Still I'll always enjoy reading a Stephen King book, even if this collection isn't one of my favourites.

Sci fi robot gets feelings
Liked it story wise special effects humor .maybe its me i dont ever like to see a movie where the actor who plays wolvirine a bad guy.idk why just dont for some reason his name is slipping my mind.its weird how south africa looks like futuristic slums in his movies .but this movie is worth the time bareley ive seen worse.and the robot chappie is worth it.funny as a gangster.
"What did I think?" you ask. Well, I can sum that up in 1 word...HILARIOUS! Memoirs aren't typically my thing, but it was impossible not to fall in love with this one. Jen writes with an effortless yet descriptive style. She's not too high brow, but manages to sound like a writer who also happens to be a normal, every day person. The anecdotes she shares are, by turns, hilarious, scary, & heart felt...like any normal person's life.
This book was easy to read & hard to put down.

Hard hitting read with lots of home truths
It's great to hear some real topics being discussed for a change - feminism, domestic violence, mental health and the justice system. The story is extremely dark but realistic sadly, and it's great that the writer did not hold back in showing all the different tenets of a personality. Some of the story was predictable in terms of who was sending the graphic emails, but rather than seeing it as a detective story, it's like a psychological analysis into people's characters.
Intriguing and interesting.

Titus Andromedon - literally my favourite character (1 more)
John Hamm is such a good villain
Slightly ridiculous, over the top comedy
While this series is rather funny and watchable, there are times it's utterly cringe-worthy and I really did not like how the court scenes were handled. It's an incredibly dark topic, which writer Tina Fey does an almost excellent job of hilarity, but it falls short because it should never have been done given the horrible spate of male violence against women, and women being held against their will.

Disappointing Direction for the Series
The series title, 'The Haunting' led me to believe that the series would be centred on a haunting - or even hauntings (multiple) - but it really isn't.
The writing feels rushed, it's poorly edited with inconsistencies, and seems to 'borrow' a lot from other writers and stories.
I wasn't sure whether to continue with the series, given how disappointed I was with this book, but given that the whole series was included in the Kindle Unlimited subscription, I decided to give the writer the benefit of the doubt.
