This was my first time reading a book by Bethany Turner and I loved her sense of humor and style of writing. This story of two chefs learning to work together was filled with several ups and downs and great life lessons. The storyline reminded me of Iron Chef or Chopped

If there was an option for more than 10/10, I’d pick that one. I absolutely loved this book. The writing is simply gorgeous, the storyline is fascinating, the ending is both perfect and heartbreaking. And that’s all I’ll say, other than: just read it.
Many thanks to the Pigeonhole for serialising this. I hate to think that I would probably have missed it otherwise.

I was so engaged in this story. It was so long but so good at the same time. I loved Kulti after a while, the Pumpernickel really grew on me and then that bit near the end! I felt like crying happy tears! The other character I loved: Sal's dad! I bet the author had a blast writing him, such a fun character.
