In "Looking for Alaska," Pudge tells us that he "[goes] to seek a great perhaps." I think that everyone, in their lifetime, should go on a great adventure, in search of their own great perhaps. I guess that's what I've decided to do with my life. All great perhaps(es?) must come to an end, however. Sydney Carton teaches us this in "A Tale of Two Cities," when he wrenches out our hearts to remind us that his sacrifice was worth everything: "It is a far, far better thing I do than I have ever done. It is a far, far better rest I go to than I have ever known." Until this point in our life must inevitably come, I invite you to enjoy the moments in-between. Not just in my life, but in your own as well.
