Lancier intends to take part in an exam for an Emergency Response Team, but learns the test was actually part of a recruitment setup for the “Drive Girls” who guard Sun Island, a location that had been invaded by mysterious insect-like mechanisms called Bugs. Although initially doubtful as to her duties on Sun Island, together with senior member Regalith and with the guidance of Commander RR 35, her comradery with the other members of Drive Girls grows. They encounter a girl known as Galaxa who stayed behind on Sun Island after it was evacuated, and just as their teamwork finally improves, a sudden enemy attack results in the disappearance of Commander RR 35. Headquarters dispatches Seven as her successor, who has been given the task of rebuilding the teamʼs morale and helping them through this ordeal.
