Science-fantasy role-playing game from Monte Cook Games. Countless aeons in the future, eight civilisations have risen to godlike heights and then vanished, leaving a world shaped by their remains and littered with their relics: the numenera, the seemingly magical remnants of their technology. The player characters are amongst those who explore the remains of the prior worlds and discover their secrets.

The game requires the use of 20-sided dice and many players also find the use of poker chips or similar tokens to be convenient. In addition to the core rulebook (due to be replaced in 2018 by a revised edition) the game line includes various adventure modules, bestiaries of weird ninth-world creatures, volumes of character options, and card decks to speed up game play.
