BookCritics (259 KP) rated The Alice Network in Books
Jun 1, 2017
Would I recommend the book? Whole-heartedly and without hesitation. I expected this novel to be well-written and I expected an exhaustive level of research to be evidenced in the final product.

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated Lady Macbeth (2017) in Movies
Jun 12, 2017
Lady Macbeth is an assured and accomplished piece of filmmaking. Pugh captures the vulnerability versus predatory nature of her character, all the while nurturing a responsive mix of sympathy and disgust from her audience.

Whether you know about the black mark on American history known as the "Trail of Tears" or not, this fascinating historical fiction novel will be an excellent way to learn about it (or learn more about it). Read why in my review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2016/01/18/paths-of-love-and-sorrow/

GameCritics (290 KP) rated Superhot in Video Games
Oct 10, 2017
With its homogenous red polygonal villains and pale angular environments, SUPERHOT is a mesmerising combination of basic but highly stylised graphics and deep strategical gameplay that is easy to pick up but very hard to put back down.

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated Moonlight (2016) in Movies
Jun 22, 2017
Moonlight is an important film that is of a good quality – these types of stories need to be told and hopefully with the Best Picture win, more will. The acting across the board is good and impressive ...

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated The Race for Paris in Books
Oct 7, 2020
It seems everyone wants to be the person to chronicle the victory of the Allied forces taking Paris back from the Nazis. This novel follows two women in their efforts to gain that title. Read what I thought of Meg Waite Clayton's historical fiction novel, The Race for Paris, here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2016/10/18/women-witnessing-wwii/

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated This Must be the Place in Books
Oct 7, 2020
O'Farrell spans half the globe to give us a fascinating and dramatic look at loss, secrets and relationships in her newest novel. Read what I think were this book's strengths and weaknesses in my review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2016/12/31/here-there-and-maybe-nowhere/ (Sorry, Maggie - I can only give it 3.5 stars out of five.)

Hazel (2934 KP) rated The Loving Husband: You'd Trust Him with Your Life, Wouldn't You...? in Books
Jan 12, 2018
I have previously read one of Christobels novels - The Crooked House - which although I enjoyed I found it a confusing read and I felt the same way about The Loving Husband although there was less enjoyment with this one.
