Loved this So much!
It is very unusual for me to love a book as much as the first in a series. The romance is a tad bit dull, only because it is constant. That aspect makes it sweet and I still enjoyed it. This book was action packed while still tugging on my heart strings. I read this twice in preparation for the next installment coming May 2018!!

Sicario 2: Soldado (2018) offers America a tangerine's dream. #Review
It’s impossible to view “Sicario 2: Soldado” in isolation from the current real-world events along America’s southern border. Indeed, the film finds itself cruelly separated from the comfort of director Denis Villeneuve and cinematographer Roger Deakins' reassuring presence. Also discarded is Emily Blunt’s FBI agent Kate Macer and with her any shred of conscience “Sicario” possessed....

Check your privacy settings before you wreck yourself. Assassination Nation (2018) #Review
A screeching, graphic howl of incendiary exasperation, “Assassination Nation” adds its voice to the growing chorus of furious condemnation of a society dominated by toxic masculinity, religious hypocrisy and venal depravity overseen by the ever-present spectre of a pussy-grabbing enabler-in-chief, showing in no uncertain terms what will happen when pussy grabs back....

Bumblebee (2018) is a once in a Gen-1 event: a good Transformers movie. #Review
It may seem something of an oxymoron, but “Bumblebee” is a genuinely good “Transformers” film. Now, I’m happy to admit I’m heavily biased, having grown up loving and watching and reading the Gen 1 toys, cartoon and Marvel comic series but my tinted glasses just make the rosy nostalgia of “Bumblebee” even rosier.

OK The 2018 Oscar nominations are out.

I know we all have our own opinions about which movies should have been nominated; however, we don't make the rules. This year's list is an interesting one.

Which movie do you think will win? (Not which deserves to win). Please feel free to comment your thoughts below as well.

Another accessible, well-written, clear book from John Ashdown-Hill which sets out to myth-bust everything you think you knew about the 'Princes in the Tower' - including why that title is a misnomer. Felt a little sad as John passed away earlier this year (2018) as I looked forward to each contribution he made to this period of history. I will certainly re-read his books with pleasure - thank you John.
