My Bloody Valentine 3-D (2009)
My Bloody Valentine 3-D (2009)
2009 | Horror, Mystery
A pretty average slasher film and definitely based around the 3-D, it uses as many scenes as it can for this effect. I only saw it on DVD but you can just tell what scenes, effects were done for the 3-D parts. Very bloody and gory in places, with a slight twist if you can call it that. Overall pretty good but no doubt more fun in 3-D mode.

Didn't see it in IMAX, but I did see it in 3D and like the late great Roger Ebert said "the best 3-D conversion I've seen"

Happy Valentines Day 3D
So I forgot that this remake came out in 2009 and that this remake came out. I think most people did. I think alot of people did forget that this movie came out. Also people forgot that this movie was in 3-D, yes in 3-D. Did i say 3-D, yes i did. Did i mention it was in 3-D. Also The Final Destintion was in 3-D and came out later on in 2009, so thats intresting. Not really though.

The plot: Ten years ago, an inexperienced coal miner named Tom Hanniger (Jensen Ackles) caused an accident that killed five men and put a sixth, Harry Warden, into a coma. A year later, on Valentine's Day, Harry woke up and murdered 22 people with a pickaxe before dying. Now Tom has returned home, still haunted by the past. And something else is back in Harmony: a pickaxe-wielding killer in a miner's mask, who may be the ghost of Harry, come to claim Tom and his friends.

Also this movie didnt release in theaters in Febuary, but it was released to theaters in Januray. Couldnt their just wait until Febuary to release it in theaters. Nope, i guess not!!!

If you like the oringal, than you might like this one. Ifnt than just skip it. Love Hurts doesnt it.

Happy Valentine's Day Everybody.

Beth Andrews has given up on ever finding a happily-ever-after. Still smarting from a bitter divorce, she’s decided the only thing she truly needs is sex.

For a short story/novella, this had everything that's included in Jenn Bennett's full length novels in this series; a mystery, some romance, and Jupe being Jupe :D

This was the boat trip from hell. Everything that could go wrong, did. Storms, demons, Jupe...

A great instalment in a series that I love. Straight onto book 3!

2016 | Fantasy
Mixes two different types of games (deckbuilding and area control) in a very streamlined way. (6 more)
The area control mechanics are very well put together.
The "Inner Circle" is a new taking on "trashing" cards.
Easy to grasp and teach.
Lots of different ways to score points.
Awesome theme, especially if you like fantasy and/or D&D.
Scales very well at 2, 3 or 4 players.
The palette, as mentioned earlier, is probably gonna put some people off. But who cares, the game is solid. (0 more)
Overall a VERY solid game, and a very underrated one at that. One of the best games of 2016, if you ask us, which you should.

Jaws 3 is without a doubt, one of those films to file away in the "so-bad-it's-good" section.
The special effects are so awful that they are part of movie legend in this day and age. I must admit to only watching the standard version, but there's a huge part of me that wants to see this in 3-D, just for those shitty effects to hit different. Everything about this entry is corny and cheap to be honest, but its premise is pretty fun. The idea of people getting stuck in SeaWorld with a gigantic shark on the loose suits the overall tone, and the cast embrace the stupidness of it all, even Dennis Quaid doing a weird Han Solo impression for the whole runtime.

Jaws 3 is inherently shite, but I would absolutely watch it again, just for the weird slow motion shot near the end where the shark breaks through that window at 0.2 mph. Chefs kiss.

First read 15/11/13: Adored! The writing is faultless- emotive in its simplicity. Nothing felt staged or engineered, the story flowed beautifully, the characters were clearly drawn and consistent. This book is one of those rare finds where when I'm pulled away from reading it, I'm constantly thinking through how long before I can return. Now d/ling her other books.

Re-read 15/04/14: Refresher in prep for breakable. Loved just as much 2nd time :) 3 weeks for more Lucas, woop!
