Reasons I love this series...

1.) Vampires
2.) A "naked" cat/demon
3.) It makes me laugh!

Jaye Wells has created an amazing world that is a combination of fantasy, biblical mythology, and humor!

She has made up words (trampire being my fav.)...

And she has started us on an amazing adventure that I cannot wait to finish!

4 Stars...LOVE IT!

❃❃❃❃ 4 Funny Stars

We all know what children can be like, they are so honest in a very funny way. They will shock you, embarrass you and shame you to the core whilst being so damn cute about it.
This is a very amusing book full of kiddie quips and crazy questions that'll leave you speechless...oh kids.

I debated between 3 or 4 stars for a really long time.

Bad: Slow plot for sure. A few things that the dog said was "truth" that I just outright disagree with.

Good: Heartwrenching and heartwarming all in one. The kind of book that just STICKS to ya.

Maybe not meant for all readers, but I enjoyed it, so worth a try.

I don't know why I haven't given this five stars because I don't normally buy book after book in the same series unless I'm obsessed, and I am pretty much but only due to the Raven/Christian brewing romance. It's been driving me mad for the last 3 books and finally we may be getting somewhere.

Off to buy book 4.

About time!!

Am I allowed to give a book 5 stars simply because after 4 books our two main characters finally got around to having sex? It seems to have taken an age but I'm a happy reader right now.

Of course that's not the only reason I gave it five stars because once again Tilly ended up doing some crazy security jobs and ended up battered and bruised once more. I really like her loyalty and grit! And the relationship with Daniel and Niq--I still love those boys!!

Will be buying book 5 in the morning!

First half: 2 stars
Second half: 4 stars

Overall rating: 3 (and a quarter) stars, simply because of how exciting that second half was.

So it's taken me almost a month to read this. Which is ridiculous really, but this isn't my usual genre of book. I like my books to have romance/sex in them and there is a little but not enough to keep me interested in the book for just that.

The first half was a bit boring for me. It was going too slow, plodding along at it's own merry pace but then as soon as we get into the toad-demon and the shadowman and the storms, I was well dragged into the story.

I think I may just be interested enough to carry on with this series.

____ 4 Cute Stars

This is such a cute little book!
My little girl really enjoys stroking the different textures and likes listening to me whilst I read the rhymes on each page. She is starting to say the word 'Cat' it comes out as 'At'.
There is also a ladybird hiding on each page which is fun to point out.
Great book for little learners!

Huh

I'm crying right now with that ending. The Cavars covering them as they went in the pool. If that's not love...

I really didn't get the Kyon thing. You had Trey, girl! WTF is wrong with you! I am still 100% Team Trey so that whole Kricket and Kyon thing really didn't gel with me, hence it only getting 4 instead of 5 stars.

3.5 stars.

I was a bit bored for the first 40 or so per-cent but then we forwarded 4 years and things got interesting. I don't want to give too much away but there's a twist near the end and I was surprised in a good way.

I'm still slightly confused about the shark though? Was it there for a reason or not?

I am torn on this book. I love the idea of the story; yet at the same time I felt like the author had such momentum until the final 1/4 of the book. Its almost like the author gave up. I would have expected a better ending from the same mind that came up with the rest of the book and all its details. Its an okay read. I mostly gave the story 4 stars because I loved the idea of the story and all the detail that went into it. The ending could have been WAY better.
