Why didn't I watch this sooner???
If you're like me, your high school years were not perfect and you always felt a bit like a weirdo or an outsider. If so, you'll enjoy this movie. It's hard not to love these characters. They seem vapid at the start of the film but towards the end, you see their love for each other and the kindness in their hearts. Throughout the movie, you see their friendship and support of each other. It's a sweet movie. Being a child of the 80s, I love the 80s references. Janeane Garofalo's character is funny in a dark way. And, OMG, there's everything to love about Alan Cumming. I adore him.

In short, Demoni AKA Demons, is fucking wild.
For the most part, it's masquerading as a serious horror trip, with the odd burst of humour, and occasional 80s rock anthem thrown in. It subjects the viewer to nasty gore, disturbing practical effects, trippy cinematography, it's overall strangeness complimented by its slightly off dub work. It's uncomfortable in parts, certainly hypnotic in its execution.
All of this, before diving headfirst into schlock territory where a dude slaughters hordes of monsters with a katana whilst riding a motorcycle, as an Accept song blasts in the background. Pretty damn wonderful.

Rightly considered an essential 80s horror, Demons is still an effective movie today. Well worth any horror fan's time.

Looking rather dated now but was considered way ahead for it's time, I found this film very intriguing as it came at a time when computers weren't quite in every home and many were paranoid as to their actual power and what they were capable of.
If you can look past the cluncky and very old hardware and the story in isolation there is a very tense and enjoyable us versus them government conspiracy chess game that moves at pace towards a satisfying but typical 80s conclusion.
Broderick and Sheedy make great protagonists and were great cast choices, it's rather cheesy now but for me a great look back at 80s cold war paranoia.

Love letter to the 80s
I don’t normally review stuff but I ADORE this show. I love anything geeky anyway but this just combines it with the awesomeness that was the 80s. A fantastic show that you can’t help be sucked into and want to watch them all in one go (who needs sleep?!?) I wasn’t sure whether I’d watch it when I first saw it advertised, but I’m so glad I did. They’ve got it down to a t. Bad hair, crap fashion, awesome music, and fantastic homages to some great 80s films. It’s just one big love letter to some of the best things about that decade. Wasn’t sure if S2 would be as good, but i think it’s just as good if not better. And we know how rare that can be. I’m not gonna go into everything about the show as I think you just need to clear a big chunk of space in your free time and binge them all. S3 and 4 cant come soon enough!!

I like the art work in this graphic novel, it is quirky and reminiscent of Sergio Aragones and other cartoonists from the late 70s and early 80s. The colours are vibrant, and this interpretation flows well, obviously it is shorter than the text novel, but I feel that they have done a good job.
