I'm not a huge gamer but know enough to have been able to follow this. I went in really not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised! This was an intense movie with a lot of 80s and (obviously) video game references, likable characters, and a nice blend of animation/CGI and real life. Now I've got to get the book!

Arnie usually doesn't do good comedies but teamed with a great co-star and double act in the form of DeVito it works very well even though seemingly an odd casting choice.
This is a very underrated late 80s movie that is simple clean fun but with a slight edge and masterfully directed by Ivan Reitman, shouldn't work but does and rightly so.

Man, Blood Rage is a trip. It features completely over the top acting from pretty much everyone, some gnarly as fuck gore (practically done of course), and a batshit plot that instantly earns it's cult status.
Blood Rage is a proper gem of 80s horror, buried underneath a mountain of more popular slashers from the era, but well worth digging out.

Love the breaking of the 4th wall (2 more)
Excellent acting
Brilliant soundtrack
Iconic 80s coming of age film
I've loved this film since I can remember - Broderick is perfect in it, and it's spawned so many pop culture references as a result I can't even count. Funny, stylish, and cool. When you're binging John Hughes films, finish strong with this one.

80s Comedy fun!
When you are super smart and your parents want you to go to college at 15, you hope you get a roommate like Chris Knight. Super smart, of course, but he has also learned street smartz and how to relax and have fun as well as work. Now the smart club, faces the challenge of getting a large, high-powered laser beam to work. What's it all for?
Maybe a little far-reaching plot aside, the film has so many funny moments like ice in the hallways, a random guy living in your closet and swimming with student beauticians not to mention a great 80s soundtrack, it is hard not to love it. I have to admit, every time I hear "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" I think of "Real Genius".

I really loved this film! It was my first time watching it and I thought it was super good! I am a sucker for the 80s, especially in film so I'm not entirely surprised I loved this one but I'm super happy I did. I definitely want to finish this series and I'm excited to see where it goes!
I enjoyed the characters a lot, I think Marty is my favorite, duh. But I also really loved that they embraced the change between the '50s and the '80s. I loved that Doc talks about what it was like to be where the mall was before it was a mall and then we see it happen. I like the details like that. Same with Marty's neighborhood.
Overall, I think this film is a great watch and definitely one I'll come back to!
