Just watched I couldn't stop laughing especially if it's got Sandra bullock in it as I was a massive fan of Sandra in the 90s with the speed movies and while u were sleeping this movie took me back to those movies but I was surprised by Daniel Radcliffe playing the villain and haming it up with style showing there's more to him than just Harry Potter and then there's Brad Pitt in a small role which also made me laugh anyway good afternoon movie

If you'd asked me ion the 90s to name a Marvel superhero, I'd probably been able to name you Spiderman. Maybe Captain America.
In the 00's? Expand that to include Daredevil before the MCU came into being, then (once it did) the likes of Iron Man, Thor, The Incredible Hulk (may have been able to name him in the 90s due to the 70s TV show).
2010s? Even further to include Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, The Guardians of the Galaxy.
Basically, as MCU films with those characters were released.
At no pint prior to late 2021, however, would I have been able to name 'Moon Knight'.
That changed with the release of this 'limited series' on Disney+ in 2022, with Oscar Isaacs taking the lead role of a character suffering from Dissociative identity disorder (DID) - a mental disorder where a patient has two or more personalities - who also becomes a superhero after making a deal with an Egyptian god.
And he's actually very good at portraying which identity is in control at any one time, all down to mannerisms, accents and body language.
Unusually for an MCU project, there's no end credit stings until the very last episode (where it is worth staying for that sting).

Amazing nod to my childhood
Wow, simple as that!
Was so excited for this film and can safely say it didn't disappoint me. The storyline is brilliant and well thought out. The characters are likeable without being irritating. The most amazing part for me was watching the film over and over looking out for all the hidden characters from my childhood.
The icing on the cake was the epic battle with the Iron Giant, Mecha Godzilla and Gundam Wing!!!!!!!
Must watch for anyone born in 80s or 90s who loves games and fantasy.

Movie Metropolis (309 KP) rated Final Destination (2000) in Movies
Jun 10, 2019
Released 17 years ago in March 2000, Final Destination revolutionised the teen-slasher genre for 00s after Scream did so well for the 90s generation of horror buffs.
The premise was perfectly realised as high-school students tried their best to cheat death after a horrific disaster. The plane sequence in this film still holds up today and remains one of the best horror moments in the last couple of decades.
The acting on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. Though a young Devon Sawa was a magnetic leading presence.

The humor (1 more)
It didn't take itself to seriously
About what I expected - It made me laugh.
Take Baywatch (2017) for what it is. It is a movie based on a bad - though much loved - TV show from the 80s and 90s. This is not some huge dramatic movie. It is not supposed to be Johnson's or Efron's chance at an Oscar run. It is just a fun movie. I enjoyed it. There are some very funny moments and the cameos from The Hoff and Pam Anderson were perfect.
Erika (17788 KP) rated Chilling Adventures of Sabrina - Part One in TV
Oct 29, 2018
I was thrilled when Netflix picked up the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, I really liked the horror comic, the original comics, and the goofy 90s/00s television show.
This show was sufficiently creepy, and provided me with straight nightmare fuel, as I found out last night. Sabrina was very much the same character as she has been all along, a teenager that makes slightly questionable decisions while trying to do the right thing.
The opening titles comprised of the original art from the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina graphic novel, as well as her first intro panel in the original Sabrina comic.

Bloody Brilliant Documentary...
Steve Mitchell has captured a wonderful piece of work revolving around one of cinemas greatest pieces of work as Mitchell takes us from the beginnings of Cohens career on TV in the 60s to his prolific work on Blaxsploitaion through the 70s and 80s to writing one of my favorites of the 90s (Phone Booth) by tackling each project one by one. We hear some really interesting stories from some of the guys who knew him best and get a real good personal loving look at Larry Cohen and his long spanning career.
Versusyours (757 KP) rated Joe 90 in TV
Nov 4, 2019
This was reshown on BBC in the 90s and it caused a bit of stir off the back of Thunderbirds and all things marionettes. The story of a normal 9 year old to some but a super duper secret agent to others. His father was an inventor who created the technology to give Joe his super brain powers. Not sure why you would experiment on your kid but it was the 60s after all. There were James Bond elements and Cold War based plots. It would have been ground breaking at the time and hasn't aged too badly in the present day.
