Oh my gosh! I loved this book! I bought it on a whim based on a reccomendation & boy am I glad I took the chance. I have a very sarcastic sense of humor & I laughed through the entire book! I dont think I've ever been able to.do.that with an entire book before. I can't wait to rrad the next book.
I love the main character, Samuel. I teach & could see parts of plenty of my students in him. Believeable charactersvalways make a book so much better. Nurd is also hilarious...strange think to say about a demon from the Wasteland of Hell but it is true none the less.

I was a little weary of starting this series. Tarryn isn't known for her HEAs. As much as I enjoyed Mud Vein, it was a bit dark for my taste - and Marrow was completely confusing. I did love F*ck Love, though, so I decided to give the rest of her books a try. I'm really glad I did! I started The Opportunist on the 3rd of June. The only reason it took me 4 days to read is because I don't read when my husband is off work. I loved the story, I loved the characters, and I loved all the obstacles! Most certainly a one-of-a-kind read!

Loved it
Once I got past the first few chapters I really got into it. I found it to be a bit of a slow starter due to the constant negative references to Buffy, which I get that there had to be a bit of tension there, but was maybe a bit repetitive. Other than that it was a fantastic read so I pre-ordered the 2nd one which I aim to start soon.
