This new adventure for Lewis Carroll's Alice finds her in another strange dream, this one influenced by the alphabet. It's got quite a few grins and laughs in it. I enjoyed it as a kid, and I enjoyed rereading it.

The Wizard of Oz (1939)
The Wizard of Oz (1939)
1939 | Fantasy, Musical
One of my favourite films at Christmas time. I enjoy follow Dorothy and Toto through her adventure in Oz along with the Scarecrow, Lion and Tin Man in their search to find the Wizard so they can get a brain, courage, a heart and for Dorothy to go home. Love the munchkins and The good witch. An excellent film for all the family

Reasons I love this series...

1.) Vampires
2.) A "naked" cat/demon
3.) It makes me laugh!

Jaye Wells has created an amazing world that is a combination of fantasy, biblical mythology, and humor!

She has made up words (trampire being my fav.)...

And she has started us on an amazing adventure that I cannot wait to finish!

4 Stars...LOVE IT!

Anyone that read previous Ishiguro novels may be surprised by The Buried Giant a full blown fantasy adventure, buy my goodness is it good. The world is completely immersive as they discover why the world is forgetting everything. I just hope he carries on in this genre.

I am an avid fan of the Alfred Boy King series. This is the third book in the series, and I am excitedly waiting for book 4. This book is filled with adventure, magic, creatures, and bravery. The main character Alfred is a sweet and curious boy who makes for a charming and sympathetic character to follow on his exciting journeys.

Not Matt Haig's best but still a great one
Matt Haig always writes with real empathy and deep understanding of what it is to live so who better to write a story about a man who lives and lives. Another wonderful fantasy adventure by this master storyteller. I hear they are making a movie which makes sense but read the book first
