Wow what a ride. Ever since reading Anderson’s Claimed, I have been jonsing for a good alien romance without all the cheese and ridiculousness. This series was exactly what I needed. It has everything, being both steamy and romantic with the plot able to carry itself. Each couples’ was different from each other in both personality and dynamic. Each one took you on a separate journey and I was in love with each in every one. I will add the disclaimer that if you aren’t into rough sex and alpha males, then you should skip this one.

I usually don’t read novels like this, and this book reminded me of exactly why! The male lead was so alpha male that it was obnoxious and insulting to me as a female. The female lead was just as frustrating, but maybe that’s because she’s the stereotypical “strong” female lead. Both characters were so frustrating and cliché that I almost couldn’t finish the book. Despite this, I actually enjoyed the story itself. Even though her characters made me want to pull my hair out, the author knows how to tell a story.

So part of my childhood growing up in the 70s that I still remember this classic sci fi and according to the show the moon left eatrth orbit 13th September 1999 which would make it 20 years ago on Friday just been the effects are abit outdated by today's standards but that's part of its charm. Top notch acting from both Martin Landau and Barbara bain as the leads. And been remade on audio recently by big finish productions which I'm going to listening too in the future
