The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated The Puttermesser Papers in Books
Oct 7, 2020
Cynthia Ozick is an amazing writer and I'm surprised I've never read anything by her before. This is probably one of the most unusual books I've ever read - and I mean that in the best possible way. You can read my review of this novel here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/02/21/a-job-of-a-woman/

Enjoyed this
I have enjoyed this series. Its nice to see female P.I.s who are pretty amazing at their jobs. And falling in love with their guys. I also love the odd bits of humour that get thrown into this authors books. Goo-Poh was hilarious at times.

Better than the first
This album is beautiful. The haunting, eerie vocals paired with the almost mystic indie rock creates a truly original sound from Wolf Alice. The difference between tracks like St Purple and Green and Yuk Foo is astounding how they can be collected together in the same album and still be such an amazing sound.

A staple Christmas movie and the best adaptation there is, the remake was unnecessary and was very messy.
It's a wonderfully story and contains some great musical numbers and Gene Wilder was nothing short of amazing bringing the titular character to life.
Not sure if it will ever be bettered, I dont think they should try..classic!

The world building in this is pretty amazing, the Houses, the deeply thought out characters. I love the storylines, too. They're so well interweaved and I cannot wait to see how this series is going to end. I can't leave out the growing relationship between Connor and Nevada, too. I love that, too.
Off to start book 3!

4.5 stars.
I'm still in love with this series, the romance and how it's written between Cady and Lon, the mysteries they keep uncovering/falling in to.
Jupe! What a kid he is. He's kinda amazing, if a little chatterbox, and I really like him.
On to the next book, 2.5 in the series, and then 3.
