Kai (5 KP) rated A Child Called "It" (Dave Pelzer #1) in Books

Wow. I am blown away by this book and I think that it is a really amazing and important thing to be written. I applaud David for his courage in writing this, in sharing his story. It is a difficult read, but it is one I don't regret undertaking. Definitely plan to read the next ones in the series later.

This was such an interesting concept, but it failed a bit. Matt Damon's accent was weird and not good at all. The Chinese actors were all amazing. While the visuals were stunning, and vivid, the CGI looked really fake, to the point where it was distracting. I really wanted to like this film, but it could have been so much better.

Another Terrminator
Always have been a big fan pf the series but, it's finally starting to be a let down with the more they make. The first was ahead of it's time, the second was just amazing, the third tied some things together and then more and more and more. I know they are thinking of making another one and I am worried.

Trilogy that was EPIC
My favortie set of book from the Hobbit to Return of the King. The acting in amazing, the story follows the books from start to finish. Not for young kids ofcourse but it's better if read all of the book before seeing the movies. Orlando Bloom was the best in the movies in my opinion

Great set design (1 more)
Good cast
Too many songs (1 more)
Some cgi is a bit poor
More beast than beauty
I'm not a fan of musicals and this had far too many songs for me. I can't remember the original animation that well, but this seemed to be a true reflection of it. Great cast though and amazing sets, maybe one for the kids.

Mr. Martin, who has rediscovered the radiant properties of his voice, gilds a lot of lyrical treacle and borderline nonsense here. But on “Amazing Day,” he articulates a philosophical worldview:

Tom Hanks (2 more)
Huge scale to the film
Intense realistic battle scenes
Amazing world War 2 drama
One of the best War films made, very powerful and intense at times. Probably the most realistic battle scenes to depict the D Day landings. A brilliant performance from Tom Hanks. Not for the faint of heart but a very emotive film showing Spielberg at his best.

Alison Pink (7 KP) rated A Man Called Ove in Books

Ill be honest, it took me a few chapters to get in to this book. Once I did, I was hooked! Ove reminds me of my grandpa so much!! And that ending, I cried like a baby. You leave this book wishing that you had a neighbor like Ove living on your street. What an amazing, well written, real life character.

Excellent Show
Great show because of the cast and the artistic style. Mads Mikkelsen is amazing as Hannibal Lecter and he definitely scared me. The show always had me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I was pretty bummed when the show ended, but I still watch it again every now and then because it is that good.

Iconic
While I'm personally not that big of a Michael Jackson fan this is an amazing album and I definitely recommend it.
While not a fan I can admit the man created a truly iconic album with catchy hit after catchy hit and I can sing every song on this album. If you want to delve into MJ this is a great start.
