Story times!
Lore narrated by Aaron Mahnke is awesome. With a book series, an Amazon video series and this podcast Aaron has a voice that adds an extra creep factor to the scary stories based in true life he tells. At times, I get goosebumps listening to the history and folklore surrounding places and things of the past. A must hear episode is episode 15: Unboxed. The story of Robert the Doll, who inspired the Chucky series and his original owner of the same name, is one of the creepiest. This story of inspired me to drag three other unknowing adults through a museum in Key West. Be sure no pictures exist of this venture.

Extremely disturbing - needs a trigger warning
I've never felt so moved and violently uncomfortable /ill at the same time while reading a book before. The level of graphic psychological abuse described definitely requires a trigger warning before survivors listen because unfortunately the truth is stranger than fiction, despite many readers wanting to wave away the experiences as 'absurd' on some of the Amazon reviews.

While there were some instances that were unclear especially near the end, and slightly inconclusive in the climax, which was a bit unsatisfactory - it should be listened to as a psychological cautionary tale rather than a thriller as such. To describe it as a mystery would be insulting to those who have experienced it.

For those of you with Kindles or an eReader, I would highly recommend using BookBub:

https://www.bookbub.com/home/

Its basically a free service that notifies you of ebooks that have been discounted or are now free. You can choose your format, genres and/or favourite authors, and you get a daily email telling you of books that are on offer.

Its not offering any sort of dodgy deals, it just directs you straight to Amazon etc when the books are an offer. I've had many a free book from here that has turned out to be very good, so it's worth giving it a go if you're interested in finding new reads.

Not What I Hoped
I had high hopes of this book because i think that Peter Crouch is a very good footballer, a very funny guy and entertaining, but i was dissappointed to be honest. I was expecting his life story, childhood, shool, family etc. I was not exoecting an entire book on the inside story of what different football stars wear, listen to, drive and live in. This was more of an encyclopedia of football players facts than a Autobiogrpahy. If i had known what it was i would not have added it to my Amazon wish list. Ah well we live and learn :)

Ok scary tales film
I missed this at the cinema and caught on Amazon prime last night. I thought it was going to be an anthology of scary stories. It's more of a few mini tales set within the main plot of the whole film. I enjoyed it and at times it felt a bit like @Creepshow (1982) or @Trick 'r Treat (2007) The overall feel of the film was similar to a Stephen King short story. Only downside it isn't that scary, maybe why it got a PG-13 rating in the US. If you like ghost stories check it out but it won't give you sleepless nights.
