Eldridge's Release (Club Rebellion #1) by Evelise Archer
Eldridge's Release is the first book in the Club Rebellion series, but it almost feels like it should be book two. Although Johnson and Issy being together is what gets Eldridge to the Club, I would also love to hear more about them and how they got together.

Although this is mainly low-angst, Eldridge does have enough angst in his past to deal with. The relationship with Dalton moves at the speed of light, as is often the case in novellas. That does mean that there is not much in the way of character's history, or connection as the two of them move forward, but still, this is a good read, and definitely a series I would like to continue with.

With no spelling or grammatical errors to disrupt my reading flow, I have no hesitation in recommending this to those who enjoy insta-love in a fast-paced novella.

All He Ever Needed by Cate Ashwood
All He Ever Needed is a gentle friends-to-lovers story. Ethan has known he was gay for over a decade, but didn't say anything. Not only did he want to make it work with his long-term, high school sweetheart, but the man he loves is completely unavailable, so he thinks. However, you can only live a lie for so long, and this book starts when Ethan's life comes crashing down.

This was very sympathetically written - you get to see how it affected ALL of the characters, and none of them were unnecessarily angsty about it either. There is some angst here, as Jase needs to figure out just how to be with Ethan when real life invades, but nothing too much.

This was an excellently written story, with no editing or grammatical errors. With low angst, charming characters, and a tender love story, I have no hesitation in recommending this book. Another winner by Cate Ashwood.

Get Drunk On All The Angst And Romance!
This is my second time reading ALLTW, and my thoughts have not changed: an absolutely addictive novel. Steiner has incredible talent to mix a perfect romance novel filled with angst, hope, and sexy characters.

The journey Brecks, aka B, takes us on, seeing her get drunk on whiskey, reading the vivid descriptions, truly made me feel buzzed just reading the story. As someone who is a big whiskey drinker, I could feel the slow, delicious burn this novel created between Jamie and B's characters. The possessive feel that I got from Jamie had me quivering for more of him.

This book brought out all the feels in me. Just like the first time reading it, I cried for them during their painful moments, I laughed with them for their fun moments, I was angry at them during their stupid moments. And, I absolutely loved them wholly through all their moments. This entire novel, nee, love letter, was soul deep, raw, and fantastically chiseled. Epic, 5 star worthy novel!

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019)
The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019)
2019 | Adventure, Animation, Comedy
Not everything about The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019) is awesome but, as the movie itself is at pains to point out, that's okay too.
The metatextual flourish that crowned the first movie becomes something of a distracting liability this time around, as you find yourself constantly trying to read the ongoing adventures for their real-world subtext. Thankfully it’s pretty artfully done with the developments of Bricksburg’s population neatly mimicking the early teenage obsessions of darkness and angst in storytelling...

Another teen angst coming-of-age film
I was rather disappointed with this film, mostly because it definitely didn't live up to the hype.

There has been a spate of films that capture and showcase a city, and then casually layer it with a superficial story. In this case, it was Sacramento, California.

Here we see nothing particular new - a young teenager, played by the wonderful Saoirse Ronan, who insists on being called Lady Bird, hates her parents and wants to leave the nest desperately. Again nothing to see here. Beautifully shot, but shrug-worthy.
