not bedtime reading but very good!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

A collection of 23 different authors come together to bring you short stories set around the winter season or Christmas.

Not a single one of these authors have I read before, and there is a varied bunch of tales here. Some are just sad but some are downright scary!

Loosely, they are "holiday" stories, but more are winter ones, rather than Christmas.

An eclectic bunch of tales that can be read at any time, but I'd recommend NOT at bedtime! You might stop on one of the scary ones, and get some weird dreams as a consequence, like I did!

I didn't read them all, I will be honest, but the ones I read were very good, or excellent. Just on the short side. but 23 stories across 360 odd pages is never going to produce novel length books.

4 stars

This is a perfect short read for bedtime. A fun story about Mama Graciela, her bacalaitos fritos (codfish fritters which everyone should eat as we here at home love to make them) and her many cats. The story is enthusiastic and I loved the illustrations. -YA/NA Book Divas

I am going to give you a bear hug, is a sweet adorable book. It has some rhymes in the book. It has animals and their cubs. This is good bedtime book for young readers. Young Readers could learn to read of this book as well.

It is done well. The pictures are well drawn. The pictures can tell the story themselves. It about giving a big hug and getting ready for bed.

Bright Baby Touch and Feel Bedtime

This is a cute and fun little book which my baby really likes. I have rated it 4 stars as it's not as good as some of the other touch books that I've got for her. It's quite sturdy so it should last a while and it's full of bright colours and different textures for your baby to touch. I would recommend books in this series but not so much as some others that I have purchased. The books are quite short so I would say get a number of them as after a couple of flick throughs your little one might get a bit bored.
Baby books aren't the cheapest things ever so before purchasing make sure you check your local library as they should have a good selection.
This one in particular is fun to read together just before bed so you can talk your baby through bedtime.

Bedtime snuggles and smiles...

Manga meets Disney may seem a strange combination to some but is one that works once you get your head around how they read. As an almost complete retelling of the Disney film, this is almost a junior novelization of the film version except in graphic novel/manga version. Lacking in colour and detail in it's illustrations the simplicity would serve this as a good introductory novel for youngsters. Tiana and New Orleans always make for a relaxing bedtime read.
