"Tarkovsky is my hero, and the hero of Russian cinema—a man who found a way to make transcendent, transgressive films that went beyond his political circumstances and captured something far more primordial and enigmatic about the world itself. For this and many other reasons, he’s considered to be one of the great directors in cinema history, which is no small feat for a Soviet artist. If you’re a newcomer to his films, start with Ivan’s Childhood and go from there."

"‘Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.’ Reading those two sentences sparked a series of aha moments for me. What Marianne Williamson is getting at here is that fear hides our inner light, but that when we embrace love—which is how she defines God—we connect with who we are really meant to be. I have never been more moved by a book than I am by this one."

"My parents had a great record collection, going all the way up to the year I was born, 1984. My dad had a lot of 2-Tone, and I’d listen to “One Step Beyond” by Madness. Being a kid in New Jersey, that was a transmission from another world: the weird accent, the sax line, and the cover. They’re all leaning on each other, this huge group of dudes. I didn’t have a concept for that – it was this bizarre thing."

Never have I read anything more perfect than this novella. EVER.
Colleen has yet to disappoint me and while Finding Cinderella wasn't necessarily my favorite book, Finding Perfect is definitely up there with my favorites! My heart juggled between hurting and joy, I laughed and darn near cried, I felt the swelling of emotion with every single page. If the title was enough of a spoiler, this is: I'm beyond ecstatic to see Daniel and Six get a happy ending!

Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005)
2005 | Action, Fantasy, Sci-Fi
Again, as a stand alone movie this film deserves more credit that it has gotten. It allowed an understanding of certain things that the viewer might not have even realized that they wanted answered, and that's always a pleasant surprise.

Visuals were outstanding (as with the entire franchise in my opinion). Sound was great as expected given the pedigree. Story was solid beyond what it's recognized for. Definitely worth seeing for even the slightest fans of the universe it is a part of.

Wow. Is there any better example of cinematic perfection? I absolutely adore this film. The Winter Soldier is my favorite MCU movie. It took the character of Captain America and it elevated him to a level far beyond what he was before. This movie is a beautiful masterpiece. I have high praise for it. The Russo brothers took the character and treated him so well. It proved just how capable they were of handling such an important character to the MCU!
