I love the snarkiness and inside jokes the characters have in this series. 'Bible study' and 'Gollum' being really good ones. If you wonder what that is read the series. Not just the book but the whole series. Armstrong creates real and likable characters. She uses humor in the right wayto make thesebooks throughly enjoyable.

"I was reading The Bible a lot through my 20s, mostly the Old Testament, just because I was knocked out by the language and the stories. I felt that the God being talked about there, who was this insane, vindictive patriarch – it was kind of thrilling, and titillated something in me at the time."

"An exposition of the science of manufacturing written in the guise of the novel, the book encourages companies to identify the biggest constraints in their operations and then structure their organizations to get the most out of those constraints. The Goal was a bible for Jeff Wilke and the team that fixed Amazon’s fulfillment network."
