2016 | City Building, Medieval, Territory Building
This is a fun little game. It is similar to dominos in that each tile has 2 sides to it but, instead of numbers, the tiles have plots of land. You place the tiles matching the land types to accumulate as many points as possible. The catch is that you only have so much space to place your tiles in. I can't remember how big of a grid you can go, but I think it is a six by six space. If you miss place a tile, you will end up being left with a hole in your plot and won't be able to maximize points. On the first play though, we each had a hole and knew what to fix for the next time.

Excellent visual effects, keen sense of horror history, solid acting. (0 more)
Very little in the way of innovation or covering new ground. (0 more)
A fun way to spend 2 hours.
Overall it’s a solid horror film. Not a game changer in the artistic sense, but it’s high box office grosses will open the door for more big-budget R-rated horror, so for that alone it get so a six. Extra point for never losing my attention. I had a good time overall. Not blown away, but not disappointed. Exactly what I expected.

"I saw this when I was twenty-five or twenty-six and really confused about my work. I was so discouraged and had stopped writing, and this movie made me excited to start working again. Akerman was doing something with pace and composition and time that I’d always wanted to do but had been too chicken to acknowledge or go toward. Watching this made me realize that you should make the kind of art you want to see, which sounds kind of obvious but was a big revelation to me at the time."
