Bizarre
No wonder this went straight to DVD in the UK. It is a gritty, raw film with some graphic, brutal violence....as you would expect. However the film does just feel a bit of a mess overall and a big disappointment after the great 2007 remake of the original Halloween film was done so well. The visions of his Mum at least offer an idea in to Michael's mind but the film just seemed all over the place at times.

Full review:

Batman Ninja is a visual delight. When it comes to the animation, this is frantic, incredible stuff and it's a treat to watch various sequences jump to life. Sadly, the story lets things down. Things start off well enough, but around the halfway mark it changes into a bizarre Power Rangers/Transformers hybrid that feels totally at odds with the tone that was set up before. Worth a watch, but don't expect magnificence.

"Sure, it’s uneven. For every Book of Job there’s a Book of Leviticus, featuring some of the most boring prose ever written. But if you were stranded on a desert island, what book would better reward long study? And has there ever been a more beautiful distillation of existential philosophy than the Book of Ecclesiastes? Excluding those bizarre final verses, which seem to have been tacked on long after the book’s original composition, by priests nervous about the subversive message."

When Four Horror Icons Collide
House of the Long Shadows- is a excellent movie. It has four horror legends and icons in it. Vincent Price, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and John Carradine. It mixes horror, suspense and comedy and it does a excellent job with it.

The plot: An American author finds a dilapidated Welsh manor perfect for writing until the residents host a bizarre family reunion.

Its a must see film.

"I’m a big fan of David Sedaris; I love all his books and have them all on audio and e-reader, in addition to hard copies. But I love this particular book the most because it gives us the backstory on what he was going through personally while he was collecting material for some of his most popular stories, like “Santa Land Diaries.” He also records bits of eavesdropped conversations and bizarre anecdotes…if you’re a Sedaris fan, you won’t be disappointed"

"My parents had a great record collection, going all the way up to the year I was born, 1984. My dad had a lot of 2-Tone, and I’d listen to “One Step Beyond” by Madness. Being a kid in New Jersey, that was a transmission from another world: the weird accent, the sax line, and the cover. They’re all leaning on each other, this huge group of dudes. I didn’t have a concept for that – it was this bizarre thing."

This show was well and truly the start of a new fantastic branch of British Comedy. I cannot translate why this show is so fantastic in words, and I also believe that anyone from outside the UK will not be able to translate the humour into any words - or sense at that.

The thing is, it's not even that funny, however, I still cannot get myself to turn it off once I've put it on. It's just bizarre but so great.
