"It has an incredible and colourful energy. A black and sour comedy, a movie that you absolutely need to see or rewatch, and then you can’t live without it. The English and American get to Italy in the fifties. A one of a kind feature that you can’t put into a box."

Richard Linklater is a favourite director of mine and he doesn't disappoint in this musical comedy.
It has so many great moments and acting is top notch with Jack Black a stand out, the talented children and the heartwarming story are the icing on the cake, very re-watchable.

McConaughey's cop who moonlights as a killer in this adaptation of a stage play is totally on fire, it's dark and violently twisted but also outrageously funny, all players are on top form in this black comedy and you will look at fried chicken in a new light towards the end of the movie.
