If you love Julia Mills' Dragon Guards series, then you really should read this book. This short story tells you how they came to be, how the first person was merged with the first dragon. This is a romantic story, a tale of such deep and meaningful love between two people that nothing can sunder their connection.

With amazingly life-life characters, full of life, action and adventure; this is a novella to be savoured. The Dragon Guards series is simply outstanding, and that is how I would describe Her Love, Her Dragon: The Saga Begins. Simply Outstanding and a must-read for all dragon lovers! Highly recommended.

AVARICE is the third book in the Reagalos series and we begin where we finished the last book. Lornyc is bogged down by the minutiae of ruling multiple kingdoms, Methian is stepping into his role more as Heir (still want more of him stepping up though), and things are about to get complicated.

I'm going to be 100% honest here - when they arrived in Beher, I thought we were in for a bit of the same old, same old. Methian pretends to like other people; Lornyc doesn't like it. Methian had a multitude of lovers that Lornyc has to deal with; Lornyc had one and Methian can't deal.

INSTEAD, what I got swept me away, and I loved that! I was taken by surprise with the direction this book took me, and I can't thank the author enough! Methian has proven his loyalty to Lornyc beyond a doubt. The Caveer Guards are something else, and I am enjoying them more and more. The story develops even more, giving me twists and turns that fully kept my attention. I was absolutely engrossed with how this one went, and I honestly can't wait for the next one.

This series just gets better and better. Highly recommended by me!

SONGBIRD is the first book in the Tudor Court series, and we are introduced to the world of King Henry VIII, and his love of music. Bess is sold to the King just before her tenth birthday and, with hard study and lots of practice, becomes a favourite of his. We stay with her as she grows from a young child, to a young woman, with friends and lovers along the way.

Reading about Henry, Katherine, Mary, and the Boleyn sisters, from a servant's perspective made it all the more fascinating. Her life at court is comfortable, but she is still a servant. There is romance for Bess, from Tom, who was with her from the start, to Nick, a courtier currently in favour with the King. Bess has her own choices to make, some of which end up being heartbreaking.

If I had one thing to say, it would be I was disappointed we skipped so much of Henry's reign, but then, if we'd had it all, it would have been enough for more books! A fascinating story, with realism and character development a-plenty. This was a book I thoroughly enjoyed and have no hesitation in recommending, and I am so happy to see there is a second book in this series!
