The next to last collection of comic strips from Calvin and Hobbes features the nine month break creator Bill Watterson took. There aren't as many stories, although the familiar themes are still present. And the laughs for fans new and old are just as strong as they were 20 years ago.

What the f...

Seriously? Leaving me hanging with that cliffy? I want to scream and cry and bawl.

I want to beat the shite out of Cut and Daniel and the old hag.

I want to run away with Nila and Jethro and Kes and Jasmine.

But the worst thing is having to wait 2-3 weeks for book 5, and then another month for book 6! Pepper Winters, I wish you could write quicker, and not so captivating stories, so I wouldn't feel so stressed right now over whether to read book 4 right now or wait a week or two.

TORTURE!!!!!!!

The writing style (0 more)
We read this book for the first month of my monthly book club, personally I rated it two out of five, as a group it was rates three out of five. I don't think any of us really loved it,and personally I wouldn't say I really enjoyed it,but that's maybe because it isn't a book.i would usually read. I found it really hard to connect with the style of writing as I could not get immerses in the story or characters,It wasn't a very personal style of writing, instead making you feel like you were being kept at an arms distance. I only started to enjoy the story three quarters through the book when the story was being tied up and coming to an end. As a group we all decided we wouldn't be reading anymore Georgina Harding.

Excellent Story
I read this book when I was a child, then later on as an adult. The story is rich in details about the time period. When my kids were growing up, it became tradition to read it through the month of December.
To me the story teaches that it's never too late to have a change in heart, to learn to appreciate those around us.
