All I can say about this book is what a cliffhanger!!! I am glad I have the 3rd book sitting here so I can find out what happens to Katniss.
I am officially hooked on this series. I wasn't sure about it at first, but I enjoyed this book more than the first. That might be attributed to the fact that it picks up where the first left off so there wasn't anything to really figure out this time around.
The characters are all unique & fascinating in their own ways. At the same time you can't help but to find a little of yourself in each & every one of them.
I look forward to finding out how this trilogy ends...

Oh my gosh! So this book took me forever to get through, but it is not at all because it wasn't that great. Honestly this has been my favorite of the entire series so far. How can you not fall in love with Jace? And Clary, talk about a bad ass female character who isn't too over the top with her "bad assness."
This book had so many twists & turns throughout the entire thing. I love that in a book & this one didn't disappoint! So much more of the story becomes clear once you read the whole thing. But it also leaves some unanswered questions too so you know the next installment won't disappoint. I can't wait to get started on it!

Alison Pink (7 KP) rated Eleven on Top (Stephanie Plum #11) in Books
Jan 15, 2018
Right at the beginning of this book Stephanie Plum quits her job as a bounty hunter. Throughout the course of the book she picks up various jobs throughout Trenton. The jobs don't last long though because of course something always happens to ruin them...spending the night with Morelli & showing up late on her first day, blowing things up...typical Plum. Of course that leads to Ranger offering her a job at Rangeman which Stephanie accepts grudgingly.
You'd think her not being a bond enforcement agent would lessen the antics Plum manages to find herself in, but fortunatly for us the readers that is not the case! This book is just as action packed & hilarious as the previous installments in the series.

Alison Pink (7 KP) rated Nightmares! (Nightmares!, #1) in Books

I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this book. Being a teacher i saw it splashed throughout our book fair & I. The Scholastic book orders so I decided to give it a try. It is definitely aimed at a late elementary early middle school set. It started off a bit slow in my opinion, but the last half hooked me & I flew through it. It tells the story of Charlie & his "stepmonster" who of course, turns out to be not nearly as witchy as he thought. It has great themes for a preteen audience & the story flows nicely. It's supposed to be the first in a series but it ended satisfyingly so we will see. I'd keep reading the, though.

I won this book on First Reads. It took FOREVER to get it...over 2 months! Then I finally get it & start reading. That led to the 2nd disappointment, the book itself.
This is the first of the Sharon McCone series I've read. The characters (Sharon & Hy) are interesting, but the plot of the book itself left much to be desired. That was frustrating because Muller has a great voice in her writing, but it felt like not much happened. The "mystery" was fairly predictable. The only reason I was able to coax 3 stars out of it was due to the great writing style.
I don't know that I would seek out anymore of this author's books based on the mediocore plot alone.
