"If I told you who did it you wouldn't believe it." The book was a definite page turner for me. At about 30% in, I wanted to find out how it was going to end. There were a few twists and turns along the way, but the outcome was inevitable. This was the second Baldacci book I had read. I am a big fan of James Patterson and I must say that this book was better than any Patterson book I have read in a long time. I would love to see this made into a movie...it would definitely be a hit. This book has everything you need. Action, drama, multiple murders, a touch of romance, and a bit of rough sex. What else could you ask for? I would recommend this to anyone who likes controversy and crime. P.S. Just found out, this is a movie!

"My favorite Alice Walker piece that tells the stories of black women in the South in the 1930s. If you’ve seen the movie, you will find the book to still be timely and relevant and painfully moving."

I have not had a chance to watch the movie yet, which is on my short to-watch list. I wanted to read the manga first. However, without looking at the film's release date, I'm guessing that the movie maybe came out first? I don't know. I still definitely am planning on watching the movie, but volume 1 of the manga didn't do it for me. The first 3/4 seemed choppy and very confusing at times. It didn't explain what was going on very well. I know the basis of the movie, which is the only reason I read the whole volume. It was less confusing toward the very end, so I'll move on to the next book. But, I'm guessing the movie is a million times better.

I am hooked on the Percy Jackson series. It reminds me of Harry Potter, but with a bit more of an academic edge to it. I didn't like the 2nd book as much as the 1st, but it was still an entertaining read. I'm going to go start the 3rd one right now. BTW, I saw the movie for Book 1...did NOT like it at all. The book was MUCH better!!!!

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III has to train a baby dragon to obey his commands in order to avoid being cast out of his Viking tribe. But can he do it? I enjoyed the movie, so I was looking forward to the book. Unfortunately, I just found it average with underdeveloped characters. And Toothless, the dragon, was especially annoying.

Much better than the movie!
This book has so many more stories than what you see in the movie and you really get to understand what the dog is thinking and feeling. It's a very interesting experience.

American Civil War vet John Carter is shocked to find himself suddenly on Mars where he becomes a semi-prisoner of a race of aliens. But then he meets another human and sets out to free them both.

I enjoyed the movie from last year and finally got around to reading the book. It was a lot of fun even if most of the plot was familiar thanks to the movie. There was one slow section that seemed to come out of no where to slow things down, but on the whole it was worth reading.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Honestly, I really wanted to love this book. The description was fun, the cover was cute, and I had just finished yet another contemporary romance that featured a prince, AKA everything pointed to the fact that I would love this book. Boy was I wrong.

The idea of this book is intriguing but I hated how opinionated this book was. The book was filled with the authors unending opinions with very little to back them up. She tears down other opinions and yet assumes that we all should agree with her. FYI, if you look at Beauty and the Beast he is emotionally abusive and holds her hostage by stating that if she doesn't stay her father's life is forfeit. Wow... great guy. This is also coming from someone who LOVES the movie. It is actually my favorite Disney movie. It's okay to see that the stories have issues.

This book frustrated me. Ultimately, I loved the concept but I was unimpressed with the final product.
